Was clean and adequate in supplies in the room … rooms are small but adequate for short stay

What a lucky stay! I needed a place last minute and was pleasantly surprised how clean and comfy and easy to check in this place was. The garage parking is under the hotel in ground level and you can unload quick and get to your room in 1-2 minutes. Everything is clean and neat. Great value for the $$.

Clean room professional staffing

The hotel was not as pictured. It seemed run down and the office was shabby. Although it is a beach town, I feel it could have been cleaner and more updated. There also was no way to secure your personal items. Many improvements needed for this price point.

I came specifically for the surf so its perfect for me

Clean, large well kept room!!! Parking is tight (like San Clemente in general). No frills (no coffee, etc) but still a good value. Would stay there again for sure.

The place was older but clean. Had to duck to take a shower as it was the shower head was low. Two cute places to walk to breakfast in morning. Close to drive to beach. Helpful and friendly front desk.

Good place to stay at

The property is located between the 5 freeway and El Camino Real so it is a high noise location. The rooms are very clean and functional and block out most but not all of the noise. Be sure to request a room on the El Camino side. This is a good value for a short stay. Note that there are several good restaurants close by. For example, MRK Public is an excellent “gastropub” and the SC Cafe is great for breakfast.

There was no coffee on the premises. That was a bummer.

Everything very clean, great service and all that at a great price

It is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is close to the beach and shopping and dining centers. Above all else, the manager, Mark, is very accommodating, kind, and courteous. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I will surely come back again and again.

This hotel is amazing! I was able to sleep peacefully, try different cuisine, and just savor the time I had in CA for the short duration that I was there for! I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Mark is an excellent operator. He's on property at all times and extremely vigilant in making sure everything runs smoothly.

Room heater was not working. Temperature at night was in the 50s. When leaving the elavator stopped working and i was stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes. I was able to make the elevator work again. Wasnt a pleasant feeling being stuck. Definitely will not returning back to this location.

Great deal and clean to stay

The Manager at America's Best Value Inn San Clemente Beach, Mark, was prompt, personable, and professional. He made my 7-night stay comfortable because when he engaged me at check-in, he was friendly but businesslike. The location is one block from Highway 5, between downtown San Clemente and the surfing beaches. My room was clean and pleasantly decorated. One of four bulbs over the sink was dead; this was not an urgent need but Mark had it replaced within a few hours. Also he helped me find local amenities and was even kind enough to print a page that I was able to email him (I had no travel printer). The housekeeping staff were pleasant and thorough. Also the flowers, bushes and trees around the property were well-cared for. I'd confidently recommend ABVI San Clemente to my friends and family. Please commend Mark for exceeding expectations. -Doug Pratt

We drove around looking for Americas Best Value and found Budget Lodge. Budget being the perfect word in this case. First, no coffee maker. Second, no ability to take a bath in a tub as they required to be utilized as a shower only. Third, a little run down like the windows seem open with a draft but they were closed. Fourth, the single bar of body soap, dried my skin out so bad. Now if this room hasn't been rented out for a long time I understand but where is the coffee maker, a bottle of shampoo and condition traditionally found in a hotel room?
