Property was great

The location was perfect in downtown off of the main street. Service and staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. Overall a 5 star experience!

From moment one, this experience gets 5*'s PLUS from us! We were welcomed by a darling thoughtful Reception Agent who got us thoroughly familiarized with this gorgeous accommodation. Everything is fabulous: location is amazing, historic hotel is immaculate and magnificent, local shopping and dining and area doesn't get any better. We can highly, strongly and sincerely recommend!

The room for handicapped access is postage stamp size and next to kitchen. At $400 /night we feel very much overpriced.

I enjoyed my solo stay at the Gosby House over the Easter weekend. I was able to spend precious time visiting family and friends in the area, yet have some downtime for myself back at the hotel. The wifi worked great as I was hosting several live streams online for Good Friday and Easter services for my church. The staff was consistently pleasant and helpful. There happened to be an earlier issue before I arrived with the room I had booked, so the staff graciously without needing to contact me, upgraded my stay to a bigger room that had additional ammenities. That was a pleasant surprise. The daily breakfasts were filling, as was the lovely wine hour with delicious snacks. Street parking was easy and free for my stay. I did not need to move my car the whole stay. They have 2 hour limits in front of the hotel, and 3 hour limits along the side streets but the limits start at 9am and are only until 6pm with Sundays free. The location is convenient for a walk down to Lovers Point, a little movie theater down the street, my new favorite - Bookworks Books and Cafe, and plenty of other fun small town local eating establishments within walking distance. The hotel has comfortable sitting areas on the first floor for eating or just relaxing. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Wonderful stay in Pacific Heights along the charming main road and a short walk to the water's edge. They gave us a lovely upgrade to a room with a fireplace. Excellent jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Very friendly, warm service.

The hotel is charming, the location is ideal, and the staff is amazing. That said, I cannot recommend staying here for one reason. SOUND PROOFING. There is no sound proofing. We stayed there over New Year's Eve for two days. From 6am onward we heard every single stomp of every guest. We left exhausted. It's a beautiful spot, such a shame.

We have been staying at Four Sister Inns for many years. The Gosby Inn was exactly as we expected. welcoming, clean, convenient, friendly, discreet, good breakfasts. Thank you. We'll see you again soon.

The property does not have parking. Only on street parking is available. This is difficult because many parking spaces have time limits. The room we stayed in was on the first floor near the kitchen and near the closet for the room supplies. The morning was very noisy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The Inn is located in a great area for shopping and very walkable.

EXCEPTIONAL STAFF. there was NO good storage - a post on the wall, drawers which had room supplies in them was IT.

Beautiful house with nice breakfast each morning. We loved the Everett Room. It was a short walk to the Bay and to some good restaurants in town also. We had a lovely time there.

We love Gosby House! It is our favorite Monterey area B and B! The Victorian building is delightful, the staff wonderful and friendly and the breakfast scrumptious!!

It was a nice little bed and breakfast that used to be a boarding home. Had a nice reading nook. The staff is especially nice and very helpful. A bit disappointed with the room. It is basically just a bed and a bathroom. No where to put things or sit. The bed was comfortable. A little noisy in the morning because they were making breakfast.

Loved the loaner bikes. Loved the historic building though the steps going up were a bit steep. Breakfast was great. Staff was great too.

I have stayed at a Four Sisters Inn in the past, Dana Point. So my expectations were high. The room was clean and comfortable with always enough snacks and drinks provided for ones stay. I was a little disappointed that the hair conditioner dispenser was missing as well as the decorative pull was missing off the light chain. The bathroom needed and update and the towels did to. The breakfast was amazing and the coffee was so good. It just little details that could be avoided, especially at the customers expense.

Staff is still wonderful. Particularly the young lady who checked us in on Thursday night. Location is great and a good breakfast. Still an attractive location but not thrilled with new modern touches. Kind of mixes the Victorian and black/gold modern vibe too much.

Everything was amazing! Excellent location. Food was so good and there were always drinks (good drinks!!) and snacks for the guests. Truly felt like I was at home, or at my really attentive grandmother’s house (in the BEST way possible)! 10/10 would recommend!
