Mercure Bergamo was a nice hotel in a great location near the train station/airport bus stops with an easy walk to the funicular to Citta Alta. The hotel itself and the room was very clean on arrival. However, on day 2, the maid only left 1 bath towel for 2 people(none in any drawers - we checked) resulting in us having to share. The toilet paper wasnt replenished either. On day 3, we arrived back in the evening to find there had been no maid service at all that day so I had to go to reception to ask for towels/toilet paper. I was asked if I had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door by mistake! (which we hadn't) which made me feel questioned rather than given an apology for an uncleaned room. The room itself was modern, spacious, tastefully decorated with a huge wall mounted tv, comfy bed & pillows and nice smelling toiletries. The hand and bidet towels weren't towelling though, more like table napkins which was strange. I think this hotel is having a towel shortage! Breakfast was good with a varied choice. However, there was no toaster available to toast bread - maybe this is an Italian thing. The hot section could have been better, the bacon looked a bit grey although good on the last morning, the sausages were hot dog type and the beans were dry beans without a sauce. I had read reviews to say that breakfast was cramped and the buffet not replenished but we did not experience this. Overall, a few minor issues in a decent hotel and would return/recommend

A perfectly located hotel if, like me, you arrive in Bergamo quite late and want the convenience of a decent place to stay close to the bus and train stations. My room was spacious and comfortable, although it was a little “tired”. If you’re staying in Bergamo or heading onto Milan or another place then this hotel is a great choice.

No bike storage

This is my go to place every time I fly in to Bergamo. For a short break it’s a great location. Close to the train station and close enough to get to the Citta Alta on foot. For the less energetic there is a good bus service. It’s clean, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Excellent choice at breakfast.

The only place we stay when in Bergamo!

Don't accept any of the 001-004 rooms. They are in the back of the house, literally on top of a bank and so noisy it seems you sleep on the side of the road. Strong window and floor insulation needed to be guest acceptable. For 160 euro/night uou get way better than that. Breakfast supplies are slow and no cappuccino available on the machine. Poor experience, probably the worse Mercure I've ever been

We stayed here due to travelling around Italy, it’s close to the train station and there are many restaurants around! The hotel was nice and the staff really pleasant and helpful

No Ac and we was in a disabled room for 1 night This is really bad experience

The hotel was clean, comfortable, close to the train and down town. The beds were very comfortable, but did not have top sheets, only the duvets, which for me are too warm. The only odd thing was the face towels were cloth dishtowels, not the fluffy towels I'm used to. The breakfast buffet was very good, if you like a big breakfast, which I normally don't have - but it was worth the money.

This hotel has had a makeover since we last stayed there. Rooms and bathrooms have been updated and look really well. New carpets in the hallways and public areas make a huge difference. Breakfast room a bit small and crowded for the number using it especially around the buffet area. A second coffee machine is essential as long queues built up.

Overall very nice hotel. We liked the location with a lot of options for restaurants and shops. We had issues with AC. Although weather was 3-10 Celsius, we could not bring temperature in the room below 25Celsius. AC control was non operational and kept the room in heating mode, likely wasting lot of energy. In room Refrigerator was small and just refreshing, not cooling. Breakfast was great with a lot of options and very yummy. Room service was very poor - we do not recommend pizzas

We love this hotel. It is so convenient to shopping, cafes, and sights, but also close enough to walk to the main train station and where the airport bus stops. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast room is classy. Breakfast is always very nice, with lots of selection. But, the best thing- by far- is that the staff are so courteous and efficient, and quick with a smile and to address any issues that might arise. Bravo!!

Professional, friendly staff, I had a very good stay!

This is my second time at this hotel and I am very happy with my stay. Very easy with the check in and check out, the staff is good. The breakfast have the basic things and the hotel is fresh and modern. The bed was so comfy and had 4 pillows. I had room 117 and it was so hard to find cuz the rooms was not in numerical order plus the view from the room was so random but it is not important. My room had high ceilings, which i loved. It is located on the " main" street in Bergamo and near the train station. Walking distance to everything.

Our safe was not working. We ask to fix but the lady on the frontdesk said there's no available staff to do that. So we asked to change the room. She said it was impossible since it was fully booked on that time what was not true since some hours ago we some groups and couples doing checking. To be honest she was not in the mood to help. Radiator on the Bathroom was not working so it was reallly cold. Since she told me there no person for repairs in the hotel and the lady was not in a good mood I did'nt call her. Also the security bell rope was coiled, in an emergency it would be impossible to trigger (photo). Liquid soap was on the floor, there was nowhere to put it. Imagine the difficulty for a person with reduced mobility (photo).

A Very good hotel overall!

Great location (close to the train station, airport bus stop and sightseeing), comfortable room, friendly staff and a plentiful breakfast buffet. We loved this place and would definitely use it as a base for exploring the city and the surroundings in the future.

This hotel has been updated since our last stay and rooms and corridors are much more attractive and brighter. Carpets have been replaced and walls painted . Breakfast is adequate. Our problem this time was poor Wi-Fi. We had to get a special code from reception, but even then it only worked intermittently, sometimes not at all.

Good location, close to the train/bus station and also good conection to the old city. Lot of restaurants and grocery store in the area. Quick check in, comfortable bed. Our room was clean, except the bathtub (there were some hair in it) but it wasn´t huge issue for us. Breakfast was good. Room could use some deep cleaning (carpets, walls, chairs).

I got mugged a few days before in Milan, so finished my trip early. Asked for a refund under the circumstances. The smaller independent hotels agreed. The Mercure Accor chain hotel refused.

Clean and nice hotel, near railway station. Also good location to se the city. Good breakfast and nice service. Just one minus: exremely hard mattress, three nights was enough.
