No wifi and no tv available. Lack of staff that the crew at 11pm was still cleaning rooms just trying to keep the doors open. Run down and could use a new owner who cares.
Staff tried their best. They offered to send us across road for rooms at another hotel owned by same owner but would have tv. They called to check rooms but none of the staff were there. They left hotel unattended.
I asked for a refund and I would go else where but since we made reservation on 3rd party app, Hotels.com, they couldn't help us except to give us a room with no tv or wifi.
We had no choice since we had been in the road for 12hrs. Woke for breakfast to find out was still closed, morning staff said they didn't know anyone was even staying in the hotel last night, yet there were at least 10 cars in lot.
Room was ok, beds n pillows ok. Shower hot, guess that's all we need??

It was fine for the price and a quick stay to get on the road again. Loved that Breakfast started at 6;30 so we could head out early.

The property is relatively run-down compared to other motels in the area. Bathrooms are dated. Front desk had put up signs to indicate the hotel was sold out for 9/1 because of a festival in town; however, there were limited cars in the parking lot overnight and it felt as though it was more related to staffing issues. Breakfast options were sufficient and the waffles were yummy. Will choose different lodging next time.

Normally I find the rating on hotels.com to be pretty accurate, but not this time. Maybe we were put in an old room but it was a dump. The bathroom was disgusting, the door lock seemed sketchy. The bed was just ok. Breakfast was subpar. I would not stay here again. No way is it an 8.2 hotel.

This hotel is a dark warren of dirty, smelly corridors. Fitness room closed at 10pm. We came home with bed bug bites. Hotel should be torn town.

Honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The property was dirty and unsafe. My room smelled like cigarettes when it’s suppose to have been a “non smoking” room. The staff was friendly and helpful and upgraded me to a better room. Unfortunately even the suites where horrible one of the restrooms didn’t even work. The sheets and pillows smelled like cigarettes. Carpet was sticky in certain areas as well overall horrible hotel i don’t recommend.

The pictures showing the hotel were not at all of the hotel. Misrepresented ! The 8.2 rating showing very good was not even close. The motel is old. The bath tub filled with water as you showered. The handles for the shower are old and hard to turn off. The lobby smelled like smoke. The room had a stange odor. Bed was comfortable. Draperies were torn. Hard to get the room dark. The morning breakfast was pretty good. Didn't know I could add photos or I would have shown you. For $140 + it was NOT worth it! I feel duped by the rating and photos! Will not stay again!

Mix up with the reservations between hotels.com and the actual hotel. We ended up paying more than our original reservation because the hotel could not find the hotels.com itineraries. Will not be using hotels.com ever again.

Upon arriving the parking lot was horrible. The interior of the motel..especially the hallway was trashy. The first room we were in smelt like pure smoke. The ladies at the desk were amazing and put us in another room right away. The next room was better but everything smelt like musty. My husband found dog food on the floor. The bathroom still had hair on the sink and floor. I did not complain anymore as the ladies at the front desk were so nice. It would not be a place that I would ever come back and stay or recommend to any family or friend.

Run! Front desk staff was pleasant but under the influence of something (based on 2 different interactions with her.) Then there was a drunk man in a camp chair drinking a beer and smoking behind a bush next to an exterior door. Halls were dark, smelled like smoke, and there was visible ash on the floors. Room seemed okay but someone tried to get in within 10 minutes of our arrival because the front desk mistakenly gave the same room to 2 bookings. Upon further inspection of the property, the majority of the exterior doors had no locks on them at all (like there were holes where the lock mechanism would be.) People also clearly live here long-term because some of the doors were decorated and had padlocks on them. Suffice to say, we did not stay more than 30 minutes. Expedia did make the refund process easy.

Checked in and walked into a room that was not made ready with beds undone and towels still on the floor. Lady at front desk was very helpful and put us in another room, even upgraded us, but room looked like it had not been vacuumed. Rooms are kind of outdated. Shower head was only about 5.5 feet off the floor. Hard to shower even at only 6 foot tall. Breakfast was a joke. Had to microwave our own eggs, toaster didnt work until they had to reset the breaker. Super limited choices to eat. Waffles was about it. Will not stay here again.

There was a strong musty smell throughout the property including in our room. While some portions of the room had been updated -- like bedding, bathroom sink, etc. -- there were other portions like carpet, bathroom tile that were very outdated. Staff was very friendly, esp. front desk.

The corridor to our room and our room both had a stale cigarette smell. It may have been as a result of the renovations underway next door. The facilities in the bathroom were old and quite stained making them difficult to clean. Breakfast choices very limited

A very old hotel that has been re done. When we checked in the lobby smelled musty. Our room key did not work and we had to walk a long way back to the front desk to get a different one. Our room had a distinctive odor of stale smoke and a musty odor combined. The room appeared clean and the bed was comfortable.

The room was clean and well stocked. The employees were very nice, but didn't stay at the front desk. We locked our key in the room and had to wait 45 minutes. The bed was clean and comfortable. 2 out of 6 lamps worked in the room. The building is very old, and the entrance doors are not well maintained and the carpets are old and worn. We had a non smoking room, but it smelled like smoke.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Quality Inn and Suites in Albert Lea. The rooms were both affordable and top-notch in quality, and I was impressed by how clean everything was. But the real standout was the amazing food and impeccable service at the hotel's restaurant. Had an issue with a room that was assigned. Staff took care of the issue immediately and reassigned the room and apologized. A little out dated but clean room and slept good.

This is a stop for us five to six times a year as we like the area for short trips. We've stayed here for years and have always like the staff and the convenience of the attached restaurant.
But we're hoping the repairs underway get made before our next visit. We needed wi fi to check on work issues, and it was down. The doors to the rear parking lot need to be fixed and locking again for security.
Our room smelled a bit musty and we had to open a window when we arrived.
