Very kind staff here! Everyone was so friendly! I've visited Clinton a handful of times and everyone has always been so welcoming here. We did not use the pool or hot tub but the room and breakfast was great. No complaints at all.

Breakfast was good. But our room had a broken darkening window shade broken, vent fan didn't work in bathroom, toilet was running all night, refrigerator was was filled with freezer frost, missing an extra bed, room key hardly worked to get in side entrances from outside so had to use main door to get back to room, was limited parking so more walking to get back and forth from car to room.

In the middle of the night a man was banging on the entrance door to the hotel. This lasted for approximately 20 minutes. He then drove his truck right up to the door, and proceeded to lay on his horn for a good minute straight. My sister and I both were in fear. While I made sure our door was secure, she attempted to reach the front desk. First it was busy, and contacted the police.
After about 10 min, the front desk finally answered and was greeted with "yeah, he is staying here and forgot his key". He then backed up, and I was fearful he was going to RAM the front door. He parked his car, and was let in the building. This is ridiculous behavior, and the police should have been called long before. He definitely should NOT have been let in!

My wife grew in in Savanna, 20 miles north, so we decided to stay here because of the value for the money. We were pleasantly surprised and extremely pleased with the comfort, cleanliness and quiet. The breakfast was always ready on time with plenty of selecltions.

We picked this AmericInn because it advertised a hot tub. Upon checking in we were told that the hot tub was not functioning. Would not have booked if we had known the hot tub was broke. Also, our toilet ran after each flush and we had to remove the tank lid to realign the stop valve. Finally, the breakfast was below par with limited selections. Will not use this hotel again.

The check in was very easy and done respectfully and the clerk was very helpful. The only drawback in the stay was the washcloths and towels. The washcloths were so thin that they did not hold soap to create a lather and felt like you were using an old dish rag. Aside from that everything else was very good.
