Staff great, location close enough to the Local beach, but that’s about it, not a great area overall. Hotel is old and the air conditioning was awful, complained twice, moved room once but despite a slight improvement it turned off for 6 hours during the night and only brought the temp down to 24C when it did work. Need complete refurb.

Occidental is located a few km from the old center of Cadiz but very close to a fine beach. There are good bus connections to the center. Rooms are fine and breakfast excellent. Parking is hard to find around the hotel and in Cadiz in general. Parking garage is available at12 € per day. Restaurants and bars are available along the beach promenade.

Good location, check in easy. Some keys didn’t work. Staff at check out weren’t particularly friendly towards me as they were with others, possibly due to ethnicity. Worst thing was the persistent smell of sewage in our room, spoiled a stay In an otherwise superb city.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was centrally located and everything was within walking distance. We are walkers so 1-2 miles is not a big deal for us. The room was clean and spacious especially the bathroom. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. Easy access by local public transport to the historic centre. Fabulous fine sandy beach only a couple of minutes away. Interesting reasonably priced private car parking. Breakfast adequate. Would certainly recommend.

OK hotel bear beach but manager would not adjust our reservation which had an error in the booking They also charged us 8 more euros rather then honor the original booking Rooms were vey small for a hotel of this class but the balcony was good .

Good location. 15min walk to old town. Clean. Great staff. Near beach. But bar/cafe closed for refurb. Bed large but lumpy! Tight CAR LIFT down to carpark. 4*??

Pricey at €25 per night for parking...but it was carnival. Staff very professional. Room had all you needed.

We stayed barrier free room even though we didn't need it. very nice room though. We asked few transport info at reception such as going to the airport in early morning or rent a car etc. they were not so helpful. We anyway figured out by our long net search. I guess if staff was a bit more helpful, our problem solved in a second..

Very comfortable hotel next to beach and 15 minutes walk from old town.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and I have only good things to say about our stay. The location of the hotel is very good. The beach is aprox 3 minutes walk, there are bakeries and restaurants nearby and it is within walking distance to the old town. We never needed to use any transportation other than our feet. The hotel staff is friendly and seem very professional. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The cleaning personell cleaned the room every day. No matter when we chose to wake up, if we put the cleaning sign on the room was properly cleaned when we came back. It even smelled clean. Usually hotel beds are a bit too firm for my taste, but this bed was actually pretty good. It was soft enough for us and very large, even for a double bed. They also provide several different pillows so you can choose what to use. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but we did eat dinner in the restaurant a couple of times. The food was pretty good and properly cooked. They had a healthy section on the menu as well, which we appreciated. If you are going to Cadiz I would recommend checking out this hotel!

We spent 3 nights in the hotel in August. The hotel is 25 minutes walk from the city centre of Cadiz or 10 minutes by bus. The room were big, quite and clean and the hotel is new and close to the beach (5 minutes walk). Recommended!

We like staying at this hotel because the beds are so comfortable and we like this end of the beach. The local busses cost 1.10euro to Plaza Espania they run every 5 to 10 min. there are lots of local tapas and coffee bars. This was our 5th time of staying here t

This is a nice clean modern hotel. There are some really nic restaurants within 3 to 4 blocks that have ocean views.

Mid-range hotel. you get a feeling you`re not the first one living in the room. Very sad view to backyard. An electrical swich hanging out from the wall. Very small car-elevator for the Parking. Smiling staff and minibar on the positive side.

Hotel & Staff were acceptable. Noise from street, unable to sleep. Suggest they install double glazing in Road side rooms.

Superior room was basic.. One bar of soap for two people. Restaurants up very limited. Communication problems with restaurant staff but they were friendly

Clean room but very noisy couldn't sleep with traffic noise window didn't close well
