Friendly staff in fantastic location

Lovely property. The food is very good and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The hotel was very clean. Food, ambiance and staff were all excellent. Check in and out was effortless. Would hire a car next time as taxi's are sporadic. A perfect place to chill out and relax. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel is in great condition, the staff is very friendly, it is very chique and has - lot of history. With the age and style comes a noise insulation that is not up to todays standard. I will still always prefer these 2cm thick marble tiles in the bathroom over a soundproof door. The breakfast is good, but does not vary. You can order eggs from the kitchen, But the cold platter you get served always has 3 slices of Manchego, 3 slices of ham, 1/2 avocado and 2-4 slices of salmon. A bit disappointing. The first room we were allocated smelled strongly of eggs/sulphur. The room was changed without a fuss. Both rooms were smaller than expected. I made a booking online for a pedicure which was confirmed by email. When i got there they told me this wasn't a service they offered. I booked a massage for the following day. The spa was locked when i got there. No one turned up. Reception, where i made the booking said they did not have a booking. The bar and restaurant are were very pleasant but the staff were inattentive and it was almost impossible to get their attention to order a drink. We weren't supposed to go up to the bar but had to to place an order I would say the hotel is pretty nice but overpriced for what is on offer.

Always wanted to stay here but normally stay with family. Excellent facilities

It is a lovely place in beautiful surroundings. The staff is just wonderful. The modern design of the bathroom is not very practical, the water from the shower spills out over the whole floor

The hotel has a lovely relaxing feel about it and it was great to chill out for a week.

Stunning location. Staff very efficient and friendly, giving the impression that no request is to much. Room very clean and air conditioning excellent. Evening meal excellent quality and choice.

Had a great stay as usual...had a problem with the air conditioning , which was sorted quickly by the hotel. Love this hotel, will definitely go back there, such a lovely relaxing place

First visit here and probably my last as didn't really know what to expect. It is very isolated but by the same token in a lovely position. We asked for lake view and got a ground floor room with hardly any view at all. We did get moved but then over the restaurant which was noisy. If you go here you must visit Los Romanes BBQ restaurant the opposite side of the lake which is fantastic and have the BBQ steak. It is to die for. The breakfast was rubbish. The tea machine dealt luke warm water, the cooked breakfast was cold and to top it all you had to contend with birds trying to steal your food!!!! Overall pretty average

Great hotel, location and weather. Stayed there twice now and enjoyed the hotel both times.

Very good food loverly rooms but needed a kettle in rooms and English TV

Loved the design.and layout. The staff were lovely. Food excellent. Did not like that there were no kettles/tea bags or coffee provided in our rooms.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

Room was up to its usual standard and staff very helpful only spoil by excavation works happening right next to the dining area and out door patio dining

Lovely room overlooking pool, excellent local cuisine, good reasonably priced wine list. Friendly, helpful staff. l will be back soon.

There was a group of us that stayed there all the room where different & had great views. The restaurant food and wine was amazing & great value. The staff are very friendly & very helpfuland all speak great english too. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything perfect except we found the bed to be small and people smoking on the terrace whilst eating food. We ate inside to avoid this. Definitely would stay there again.

This is an excellent spa hotel and pure luxury. It is a little out of the way, down two B roads but well worth the effort. It is in a peaceful setting and somewhere to get away from everything and everyone if you want. The staff are excellent and speak English, though they did appreciate my pigeon Spanish, with little smiles and the occasional giggle :-)

Amazing vistas, good for a tranquil, relaxing vacation. The restaurant is of superior quality, and not overpriced. Things to improve: the toiletries, I was glad to have brought my own soap bar in my case. The lighting in the room, the lamps are very weak, one strains the eyes to read at night. But I would gladly come back to this hotel

Lovely hotel right off the beaten track very relaxing with Beautiful surroundings lovely decor all clean and tidy Each bedrooms are different reasonably priced nice staff stayed last Nov 2016 for 2 nights and again this sept 2017 we will return again next year 2018 lovely clean peaceful outdoor pool an adult retreat! Highly recommend it truly is idyllic

Check-in was quick and easy and reception staff were friendly. I had booked one single room and one double room, with a request for a double bed. Both rooms had single beds but we could not be bothered to ask reception to change rooms. Rooms were of a good size and nicely decorated. Our terrace had a nice view of the gardens and a sliver of the lake. Gardens and pool area were well maintained. We had room service and they forgot part of our order which turned out OK as we had over-ordered anyway. Food was OK standard. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the hot food items which you ordered were good. We used the spa facility which was very nice but it is not made clear there is an additional cost and it is private for couple's use only so be aware you need to book a time slot and you will be charged. I would recommend this hotel to people who want to be in the country and get away from it all to recharge their batteries.

Amazing boutique hotel. Good sized rooms. Food was nice. Had a massage in the spa which helped release the tension of life plus the calming surroundings of the hotel.

We had an overnight stay whilst attending a wedding reception. The food was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean, although a little small. Balcony size good.

We have visited this hotel regularly for the past 10 years, during which time it has been extensively and very tastefully extended. Having recently sold a house locally we looked forward to going back for a stay in a hotel and we were not disappointed.

Location was excellent. There was a jazz night on in the restaurant on the night we stayed which was good.Traditional room was poor quality and shabby. In the bathroom the shower was so poor it flooded the bathroom due to being fixed higher than the shower curtain. Overall disappointed.
