Friendly staff and a clean room

Gorgeous little antique hotel on the Amherst College campus. Loved my stay and the Expedia restaurant perk, despite the pricey rate.

My very expensive room had old water leak marks on the ceiling and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bedroom. There was no drinking water in the room. You can hear people talking in the hallway When I told the front desk that the wallpaper was peeling and the ceiling had water stain marks on the ceiling they told me they would tell maintenance. That was not helpful to me.

A nice and quaint inn. Over priced but conveniently located.

A wonderful meet up with an old friend- could not have been a more perfect time: fantastic lodging, food and town.

Wonderful atmosphere, beautifully decorated. The restaurant was fabulous. Very clean. No better place to be.

The stay with Inn on Boltwood was excellent. Room was equipped with everything that is needed. Location is great too for guests going to UMass, as bus stop is just a 1-2 mins walk away. Staff are helpful and friendly. They also have a restaurant and full bar, cocktails are great!

It's not just a lovely hotel, it's a reminder that hotels used to be places you looked forward to staying. I've gotten so used to being given a featureless room with a view of the heating ducts and the constant sound of doors slamming, I'd forgotten about real hotels. The Inn on Bolton is a real hotel with deliciously comfortable beds and armchairs you actually want to sit in and a lounge with a fireplace and real books. And the restaurant is really good, too, and it's all so relaxed and well run! There's no insufferable retro theme and the prices are on par with the nearby chains. This place is is like a secret passage to parallel, but friendlier universe.

We were able to check in early as a member of my family fell ill during our travels and really needed to get in bed. That was awesome. And we were touring the Amherst college campus which was literally down the street. Everything we needed was within walking distance! Clean hotel, nice staff and comfortable beds

Beautiful property with gorgeous historical details. Each room was individually decorated so it felt special. The room itself was lovely and comfortable. The restaurant looked lovely but in the end it was just an expensive hotel restaurant with pretty ugly looking food that would have looked nice in a diner. Other than that I would definitely stay here again and find better dining options in the lovely area close by

The Inn is absolutely gorgeous on the outside with a great location in town. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, definitely the best meal we’d had amongst many good restaurants on our trip. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean, but the Inn definitely needs some work with torn carpets in the hall and furniture that looked like it needed replacing rather than just looking vintage. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Beautiful hotel. We were out in basement. Not nice. Felt like it might have been a service area originally. Noise from construction went right in our window, which looked at sidewalk. Power went out and we had to shower in dark

The historic inn was stunning. The rooms were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our nighttime nightcaps with the bartenders who offered some local hikes and attractions. Amherst is all within walk distance of the hotel

In Amherst for a tournament. The room is okay., location is excellent, and restaurant should have been avoided. It took us almost two hours to get simple items for dinner (hamburger and lobster spaghetti). The muscles literally came with no broth. I worked on a restaurant for years and the restaurant situation last night was crazy.

Super friendly bar staff, lovely historic inn, air purifier in the room, slept well, loved the toiletries

The inn was clean, attractive and had beautiful charm. The complimentary apple cider donuts were a delicious touch.

Love the historic property. Staff messed up something about our reservation which resulted in an unwanted 5:45 am wake up call but were otherwise nice and helpful

Great service team. Perfect location.

The property was well maintained and beautiful outside with tulips blooming along the perimeter of the hotel. What I didn’t like was that they would not honor the type of room that I had reserved, saying that Expedia basically does a bait and switch with the pictures used on their site. So, instead of having a room with two double beds and a sleep sofa I was given a room with only the two double beds. (The room was reserved for three adults.) I have never had this problem with Expedia and I have been using their site since 2012. Every time I reserve a room through Expedia, the rooms are exactly as advertised. I believe the front desk staff gave the room I reserved to someone else, then told me that there were no other rooms available. It is likely that I will never again reserve a room at the Inn on Boltwood.

Charming inn. Very pretty in a gorgeous area. The bathroom shower had stains- my only complaint.
