We had a lovely stay, breakfast was great, room was quaint. Can’t quite give it full 5 rating due to age, poor A/C, wifi issues but really wonderful hotel with easy access to many local towns. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We really loved this property! We stayed for our honeymoon and the morning breakfast was excellent, staff was super friendly, and our balcony view felt like a picture! We messaged them through WhatsApp and they even scheduled a taxi to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the hotel and back to the train station on our last day! We will definitely be back!

The Hotel San Luca is right in beautiful Cortona, next to a lovely tree-lined walking path. Easy parking access. Excellent staff. We loved our 2-night stay.

It does not get better than this for Cortona for convenience. Just outside the ztl, but literally on the gate to the main street, overlook the most scenic countryside. Rooms are beautiful, we had a balcony facing the countryside and enjoyed it early morning and into the night. Parking is down the cliffside, so a bit of a walk, but can easily park just outside the ztl to drop bags and then find a spot, which there were plenty of. Breakfast was abundant, lots to choose from. Best value hotel in our Tuscan experience by far (and probably one of the most stunning views I've had in a hotel in my entire life)

The outdoor space is beautiful with views for days, but the interior and rooms are horribly dated. The rooms are noisey and the beds are uncomfortable. These are not 4 star accommodations.

The front desk was so helpful and the gals that serve the morning breakfast are wonderful and friendly. A+++ We will be back. We love the location and everything about it. The view from our room was amazing

The room had a beautiful view which wonderful to wake up to. The room was everything you need, although not huge.

We’ve stayed in other places in Cortona, but we like the location of San Luca, especially because of the views from the room and from the terrace. Although the room was quite small, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed seeing the beautiful hills from the small balcony.

I was both shocked & disappointed when I checked in to discover I had been “downgraded“ to a single room, from the classic double that I had booked. When I went back to the front desk to clarify my reservation, I was told I was put in this room because it has a better view. While that maybe true, I had booked a classic room for a specific reason & was instead put into a smaller dorm size room. The difference in price for the rooms was not refunded to me. In future, I hope the hotel takes this into account that when checking someone into a downgraded room, they’ll give the guest a bit of warning or explanation for what they’ve done. I do not appreciate people assuming I want a different type of room than what I paid for, regardless of reasonespecially when it’s a downgrade. Other than that, the hotel is in a good location & breakfast was wonderful. If one wants to take the bus to/from the train station, bear in mind that there is no bus service on Sunday, & a taxi is €15. It would’ve been a perfect stay had my booking choices not been taken away from me. (And I was told my ‘classic double’ room had been booked with no view, there has never been an option for a view with that room type & all view from this hotel are beautiful & there are terrace to enjoy too.)

Nice hotel in Cortona. Great views from the breakfast room and the terrace. Good service and clean facilities. Only certain rooms have that gorgeous view of the Toscan countryside so make sure you book one of those (at an extra cost). Those without view are a bit claustrophobic and dark.

Great location when traveling to Cortona. Beautiful views & everything is in within easy walking distance. The travel boasts 4 stars... Maybe this was true years ago. The hotel was probably beautiful in its prime, but really needs some updates (besides pretty pictures and furniture). Our room was very small although the view from our balcony was gorgeous. The TV was too small to comfortably watch. The bathroom is small and the shower leaked all over the floor. The staff were nice, but would have been a bit warmer. Breakfast was continental style, you chose what you'd like from a sheet and upon arriving you were provided with your selections. Overall, our stay was okay.. I'd like to stay at one of the other hotels in the area.

This is a barely 3-star hotel masquerading as a 4-star. Despite singing praises to its wonderful view, our room faced the city wall, and we had to pay extra to be moved across the hall to a room with a view. Front line staff were not particularly friendly, but got better over the three days we stayed there. Staff in the breakfast room were surly and watched everyone like policemen. Breakfast was the worst experience of all our hotels for our two week trip - the variety was well below what we found at 3-star hotels, and the so-called "hot"part of the breakfast consisted of cold scrambled eggs and cold vienna sausages cut in half. No variation, no improvement. The extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like a diesel generator. The walls are paper thin. you could hear the neighbors talking in their rooms. I cannot remember when I last saw such a tiny TV screen. The room size was at best 3-star size, not the extra space we came to expect from 4-star hotels. Overall a very unhappy stay, I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The views are incredible, whether you get a room with valley view or just enjoy from the balcony or breakfast area. You can easily drive right up to the door to drop bags. It is an easy escalator ride from the free public parking lot. San Luca is convenient to the pedestrian pleasures of Cortona.

Our second stay was as special as our first warm friendly staff and terrific location. See forever from the balcony rooms and breakfast room.

I highly recommend Hotel San Luca. It’s in a very convenient location and offers spectacular views of the valley below. The breakfast they offered was a nice selection and there is a gorgeous view as you sit and eat. The staff was very kind and courteous, and they made us feel welcome. My son has dust mite allergies and the carpet in the room was really aggravating them after our first couple of nights. I asked housekeeping if the could dust and vacuum the room when they cleaned it to help alleviate the issue and they agreed. Then a few minutes later the front desk called and offered for us to change to a room without carpet. It was a little more per night but I gladly paid it and we changed rooms. I was very thankful that they offered us that option and my son had no issues once we moved to the other room. I would definitely stay here again if I have a chance to go back to Cortona.

Hotel San Luca is located in a wonderful location in Cortona overlooking the beautiful valley below. The view from our balcony was spectacular! The hotel itself was very nice, the breakfast was good. The only issue we had was the size of the room which was very small. Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel

Staff was extremely helpful and caring when I had difficulties.

Very nice hotel, it was hard to find at night and the GPS was taking us in circles, but we met some locals that were very nice in showing us the way. Breakfast was good, wish we had spend two nights there.

What a lovely hotel with amazing views from the breakfast room and lobby. The room we had was a standard double. The bedding was a little rough and the light in the bathroom didn’t work. The staff is friendly and responsive. We would stay again, the location. Can’t be beat!

I have stayed here 5 or 6 times. It's always a pleasure. The new breakfast room is lovely, and the food selection is very good. You have a fantastic view as well.

We got a room with the countryside view, which was stunning. Only about half the rooms are so, so I guess we can consider ourselves very lucky.

The view is fantastic. Everyone we saw from the staff was friendly. Couldn't be in a more convenient location.

Everything was as expected and excellent. Views are spectacular.
