10/10 recommend, we stayed an extra day longer

Nice hotel. Very clean. Breakfast is very poor for a 4 star. Not much variety and daily repetition but the limited selection is good. Staff mixed. Some very attentive, other don't even say hi. All in all a good choice for exploring Amalfi

The room was great except for the smell of bleach, it was so overwhelming that we had to leave the door open to get fresh air which meant no aircon so it was hot. The bathroom has no fan so gets very stuffy after a shower.

Location of the property was good as it is in the main shopping mall area and there are lots of restaurants nearby.. Breakfast provided was okay but limited in that they only served scrambled eggs available from the precooked tray, some cured meats and cheese were served, pastries, cereal and fruit.. Most disappointing was drinking water was not provided and charged at 2.5 euro per bottle.. No clear notifications to tell you that it will be charged.. Not happy about that

The location was excellent, but construction in front of the hotel very loud and dusty. Sonya on evening shift very helpful, but day shift staff very surly. Great American coffee - needed some additional choices of hot food at breakfast. Room clean

The bathroom shower entrance was dirty.

My room was too hot for sleeping. Found ants in the room and bed they bitten my daughter. Bed mattresses are uncomfortable and not provide good rest. Hotel was very warm. Front desk personnel did not took serous our complains for warm room and the bugs found. We spent 3 terrible nights in this hotel. Avoid it in summer time.

Centrally located on a popular street near the sea and train station, our room for a family of 4 was modern, quiet and comfortable. Nice buffet breakfast included as well.

This hotel was great! The bed was a bit too hard for my tastes, but everything else was wonderful!

This hotel deserves a 4 star hotel. Staffs are kind, the room is clean, close to the downtown, and the breakfast offered is very good. I would like to stay here when I visit Salerno next time.

We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Montestella as our base to visit different towns on the Amalfi Coast. Great location in Salerno. Easy to go to attractions, the port and the train station. Hotel room is big. It feels like having 2 connecting rooms. Bathroom is big and clean. The hairdryer is not the best. Everything else seems fine. Our room can be noisy as it's facing a busy street. It seems ok as long as the bathroom door is closed. Breakfast is pretty good with lots of fresh fruits. I would recommend Hotel Montestella for anyone staying in Salerno.

Hotel was in a very convenient place a little under 10 minute walk from the Salerno train station. The Main Street with all of the cafes and shops is right down the street. and the waterfront is about 2 blocks away. Everything about the hotel was great but we did wish that the showers had a handle option as well, that would be our only request.

Clean, no frills hotel which was great for the one day stopover we had before our early morning train to Florence. Comfortable beds, accommodating staff who pulled together an impromptu travel breakfast for us at 5:30am (restaurant didn't open until 7am). Good location on main pedestrian walkway / road, relatively near the waterfront / port and 5 min walk from the train station.

Location is central in old town in the midst of shopping and restaurant. However the street in front of the hotel is undergoing heavy road work and is blocked off. It looks terrible and difficult to walk with luggage. While the room and hardware are new and good, the software needs to improve. Apparently with so much hi tech installation (there are 6 buttons to control lights and air-con) u cannot adjust the temp in your room! U need to call front desk and they can adjust your temp. We were feeling old despite having a large room with a separate sitting room, and had to call them as we thot the thermostat was out of order! No one told us about it. The front desk is quite u friendly - when we asked them if they provide body lotion, they just said no without any attempt to offer a solution. How can a 4 star hotel don’t have basic toiletries.

Property is centrally located. It is close to train station and old town. There are many shops and restaurants nearby.

Beautiful spot close to the water. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time at Salerno. Only negatives was construction in front of hotel was very loud starting at 7:40 but we were up early and out exploring so not a huge impact and spotty wifi. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed Thursday through Sunday, the hotel did allow us to check out 30 minutes late till 11am and we were also allowed to leave our luggage while we continued to check out Salerno all day Sunday. All front desk personnel were great, the entire premises was clean, the breakfast was limited but good, our room was clean, and the balcony had 2 chairs and a table were we could drink and have a smoke. We stayed here as a more economic alternative to staying in the Amalfi Coast, which was our reason for visiting the area.

The breakfast is good. They offer hot sausage and scrambled eggs. Good options for drinks. A lot of fresh fruits. I will stay there again. Shower is nice.

Overall, the hotel is in a great location by the beach, shopping and train station. Knocked off a star because the TV WIFI for Netflix, Prime etc was not functioning and the staff had no ETA when it would be functioning again. Was relying on this service for the kids on downtime during the day.
