Rooms are dated- mold on ceiling in shower- paint cracking on walls adjacent to shower. Bed was ok. Room entry was on ground floor located inside covered parking area - luckily we were only staying one night or it would have been a really bad experience and no natural light. Room was very small. Bed was ok - breakfast was ok but coffee was terrible

Per website, property is a 15 min walk from Mt Rushmore. This is inaccurate. According to Google maps the walk would’ve been over an hour. Decided to book hotel based on this feature and was disappointed to find out it was not within reasonable walking distance.

Great for the one night stay

Staff was professional, room was worn and a little outdated. Disappointed that the breakfast was served with styrofoam plates and cups. Definitely not concerned about the environment.

Lucked out and got this place as our stop over hotel. It was a steal for how much a night cost.

This was very pleasing. Nothing too special but the room was nice, bathroom was very small though. Close to lots of shopping and dining and we could park right in front of our room.

I looked at 2 rooms...both dirty, smelly, unsafe surroundings.

The room was not real clean, mildew in bathroom, a/c was dirty, would not stay there again.

This hotel seemed to be highly rated. I thought it was okay. We were just there overnight seeing Mount Rushmore so didn’t hang out in the town. It is very convenient to Mount Rushmore and the breakfast was good.

Not the best room. TP holder fell off when touched. Ultra strong smell of cleansing agent. Broken ice machine and old used equipment in the parking lot.

The bathtub dripped all the time and hair dryer did not work

Downtown keystone on main street. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and water pressure was good. Hotel is older, but they all are in the area. It has parking but it is difficult and limited. I don’t recommend if you need handicap parking, they have it, but I watched people struggle with it.

We’ve stayed here before and liked it so much, we’ll be back!

I had three small children with me and the room above us was the people were jumping up and down and making lots of noise. When I contacted the manager he said nothing he can do about it so we left in the middle of the night and went somewhere else. Would like a refund for $179 from the quality Inn but I’m sure I would be wasting my time since Expedia always says it’s not your problem. I’ll just use another company in the future.

Screen to the outside wouldn't lock. Sliding door lock was loose. Just slightly hanging on. One strong tug and someone could enter the room forcibly. Didn't feel as safe as other properties I've stayed at. The front desk isn't always manned and we just gave up trying to talk to someone.

Decent hotel, easy check-in, great fresh breakfast. The parking is tricky. There is not enough and the spots on floor one are very tight. As you leave the concrete parking area on the second floor, the main walking area is not flat and gives in places. I tripped a few times walking between my car and my room unloading because of the ground giving way. The room walls are paper thin. The people in the room next to us were definitely talking in a normal conversational voice and I could hear every word. The bathroom is teeny tiny with only enough standing space in the toilet/shower area for the door to swing open and miss the toilet and the shower. The booking on hotel.com says it is a 11 min walk to Mount Rushmore. It is only a drive there. It would take nearly an hour to walk there. Otherwise everything was as listed in the booking information. The price was great and for a quick one night stop it definitely fit our needs.

Irwin at the front desk was so helpful. The next day after checkout I realized that I had forgotten my laptop in the room. After calling them, Irwin instructed the cleaning crew to locate it, and then he immediately fedexed it to me at cost. Thanks a lot, Irwin!

Room was small but clean and quiet near the pool area. Had a nice breakfast area. Parking was not the greatest but there was two levels of parking.

Food not completely cooked and disappointing. Room was clean but small with dim lighting and in the bathroom there was barely enough space to turn around. Parking spaces were close and driveway entrance to building was strange. Didn’t use the pool area. On the plus side staff was friendly and helpful. Vending was easily accessible. Outside lighting was good. Place was ok. I would recommend for a one night stay.

Keystone is tightly-spaced and so is this motel. The breakfast includes hot, but the area is crowded. The rooms are older, but those cleaning them are very good and keep them up. The pool is smaller and usually crowded. Be warned - half of the parking is up a short, steep ramp, the other is covered and very tight.

We had several rooms. The breakfast was just okay. We had roaches in our room. Parking was a problem. People were nice, but the hotel for the price needed serious attention and breakfast lacked.
