Shocked at how outdated this property was. The room had a weird smell and the a/c couldn't keep up to cool the room. Would not stay here again

Excellent option for those who want to fully leverage a kitchenette.

The whole property was great! Our room was beautiful & had comfortable beds. The pool was nicely heated & there were 2 jacuzzis that everybody was able to use. Great location in the middle of the village & everything was easily accessible! The only bad thing I had to say was the housekeeping fee - almost just as much as one night stay & also the mattress on the pull out couch was very very uncomfortable & my kid was unable to sleep very well.

Although room had a kitchenette which I like room still seemed a little small. I thought I booked the big room with 600 ft.² small queen size bed other than that it was fine.

Trip was good. Facilities were good. Staff was not friendly.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Convenient valet parking. Dryer could use an update. 45 minutes to dry clothes but still damp. Need an additional 30 minutes. Glad I did laundry early.

Traveling with a big family (two adults a 4 kids on this trip) is always a complicated task. But we all agreed this was the best place we've stayed - definitely better than the Airbnbs we typically need to accommodate all of us. The kids loved the pool, the video games, and the scavenger hunt provided at check-in. It was wonderful to have a kitchen and living space apart from bedrooms. We will be back!

Great location, ample space. Valet service was quick. Unit was spacious, comfy and clean. Staff were very accommodating.

Very convenient to get to the gondola, restaurants and shops. I did not need my car the entire weekend. The complex and pool area were very nice. Room were comfortable

Amazing location with shopping and eateries throughout. Right at the gondola for easy access to the mountain. About 1 hour from Reno Airport. Clean and comfortable rooms. Adjoining kitchen suite with jacuzzi tub and pull out queen sofa bed. Full kitchen with toaster, coffee maker, pots pans plates and dishwasher. Free laundry. Complimentary kitchen soap and bathroom soaps and shampoos. Electric fire places in the family room and king suite. The room with 2 queens had a regular tub perfect for my parents. The king bed suite also had a jacuzzi. This is a must stay and I would definitely do it again.

We will definitely comeback here in our next snowboard session! We love the location!

It’s centrally located

This review is no reflection of the Marriot South shore facilities. More a refeltion of the Marriot in general. Tahoe freeways were impacted by huge storms that closed hwy80 and at times hay 50 due to snow and avalanche. This to me is an “act of god”. I put in a cancellation 5 days ahead of time as the authorities (Cal Trans, CHP, Tahoe Advisory folks) implored people to stay home and not be on the road. Marriott refused to refund my payment stating “you did not purchase the insurance for the trip”. Its not like I canceled because of my own purposes. Did not even offer a future credit. Just a loss of close to $1500. Just very disappointed in Tahoe Marriott Residence Inn. If someone from Marriott wants to reach out to me you have my contact. I will also be adding a Yelp review of this as well. I will be disputing this charge through my bank!

Very nice & large condo. Location is also convenient. Only down side is the cleaning fee is expensive, it’s basically the cost of another nights stay.

Ski in / out. Right in the middle of the shopping and restaurants. Very convenient.

Spacious units. Nice, clean and good service as you would expect from a Marriott property. Central location is convenient, but you might hear the occasional noise at night.

This property was in an excellent location. Everything was extremely convenient. Hop on the Gondola out the front door and go. Many restaurants and activities in the area.

Perfect location in south lake tahoe, we where literally next door to all the places we love in tahoe. The sauna gym and steam room where great. The outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzis are well kept and very clean. Also the employees where very nice.

Very pleasant stay during Thanksgiving week. The single bedroom condo (upto 3 beds) is large enough for my entire family. We like all the amenities including daily yoga sessions, smoothies, laundry, complimentary valet and many others. The condo village is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Extremely convenient and safe. The Gondola right by the village took us to the mountain top, where we had a wonderful time playing with snow; just that the Gondola tickets unlike the condo stay’s cost is very pricy. Btw, the valet team is primpt on every retrieval request.
