Beautiful courtyard, was great to spend breakfast there. Property was well maintained, and clean, but decor was a bit too much 1990‘s for our taste. That said, staff was very friendly and helpful. Location of the property was easy walking distance to the beaches and city centre.

Very nice building. Outstanding bathroom, and pretty nice room. The size of the room was a bit small for a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is very well located with only a short walk to the marina, restaurants and shops. The building is a lovely heritage building and has heaps of character and presence on the street. Carparking is available at cost opposite the hotel The rooms are spacious and well appointed although they don't have a kettle for tea coffee making, but there is a small refrigerator. The shower, vanity and toilet are all new in a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast is served in a delightful dining room which is tastefully appointed and serves a big breakfast and huge choice (except no bacon or hot servings like scrambled eggs, sausages etc, ) but the overall choice of pastries etc makes up for this. It's a little more costly than some (19 euros) but a good breakfast sets you up for the day. WiFi is good but not secured

Elegant old nunnery, wonderfully renovated to a very high standard. Close to beach, restaurants and anything else you might want. Leafy garden for breakfast. Great parking. Easy walk to fabulous restaurants. We stay there again and again!

Well equipped and well located hotel. Chose this hotel because we spent our honeymoon there 30 years ago and it didn't disappoint. The elevator and showers might be a little on the tight side for some folks and the breakfast is pricy compared with the bakeries in town just 5 minutes walk away. But that did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

more attention to cleaning details such as toilet should be considered. Breakfast is great and staff super helpful and polite.The hotel was ideal for its location and parking access. A pool would be a plus.

We have been to this hotel four years running, always in the same week of June, to celebrate our anniversary. If youre visiting Calvi this hotel has best location in town. Its just five mins walk to the beach in one direction and to the shops, restaurants and harbour in the other direction.The hotel is a former convent and full of atmosphere. Stone and marble abound in all the rooms and the decor has an air of sophistication. Only breakfast is served here (and its pretty good) so other meals have to be taken in town. Therre os supposedly a bar in the evenings but we have never found it open!The reception staff are efficient and obliging although perhaps could do with some charm training to make them a bit more personable and image friendly.The standard of room cleaning is very high, the air conditioning is very simple and works a treat, the balconies are generally softened with flowering climbing plants and many rooms have sea and mountain views (admittedly distant).We think the price is very reasonable and we will be back!

Location is the main selling point for the Hostellerie de lAbbaye. Just a short walk from the front, turn left into town for the bars and restaurants, turn right for the beach - both just 5 minutes away. The hotel itself is a little old school. It is however well maintained and i found the service friendly. I wasnt greatly worried by the shower attachment in the bathroom not having a fixed point or indeed a shower curtain - others might worry. The hotel only does breakfast - which is fine given the range of excellent restaurants in Calvi. The gardens were a ncie place to chill out in after the beach or during the heat of the day. The star rating seems to vary between 3 and 4 depending on what signs/maps you are reading, and that is probably broadly about right.

Really loved the historical feel of this hotel and location for Calvi was excellent . A 5 minute walk. Room was of reasonable size with beautiful bathroom. Not impressed with ripped lampshade and uncomfortable pillows for this standard hotel. Breakfast on terrace delightful but expensive at 18euros.
