I had the worst and most horrible experience of my life at this hotel. When I first entered the room I was given, I saw that there was already a couple staying in the room. We went to the reception together, they apologized and gave me another room. and then the nightmare began. I was robbed by the hotel staff. 2 employees at the reception and another hotel employee whose job I don't know entered my room. They jumped from the upper balcony to my room's balcony, I immediately opened the door and ran away, I went to the reception and there was no one, then someone came, I told him there was someone in my room to help. I reluctantly came with me. While we were waiting in front of the door, we both heard voices coming from inside, my belongings being rummaged through in a hurry. I told him to open my room door. He didn't open it. I said I'll check the next room, maybe there's someone there, and left. Then I said whatever happens, let it happen, and opened my own door with my card. They ran away quickly, but I saw them. The receptionists in white shirts and dark colored trousers. I threw myself out into the street in fear before I could put on my clothes. I went into the pharmacy right next to the hotel and asked for help. The owner of the pharmacy tried to help. He called the police but they said they couldn't come (it wasn't a surprise because according to my friends living in Brazil, the police work with these guys). A security guard who saw me on the street came to the hotel…

The hotel is centrally located in Leblon. However, don't get fooled with the name. The beds are horrible. The mattresses are hard as stone slabs. The daily breakfast was not good at all. I wouldn't stay there next time because I didn't get one night rest.

The hotel itself is overall nice and updated. The staff was lovely.
However, there is absolutely no security whatsoever. Anyone can just walk in. Anyone can take the elevator to any floor without a problem.
The biggest problem, however, is the check out situation. Unlike every other hotel in the world, you have to stop and check out. This is a) no longer a thing and b) extremely inconvenient when you don't know you need to do as much and it's 5am and the person who is meant to do the checkout is sleeping in back and then someone needs to go upstairs to check the room and then charge you for any extras.
Not ideal when trying to catch a flight.

the hotel is not as marketed. We arrived to the hotel expecting a Ritz standard which was clearly misleading. Rooms unattractive and not clean. We left and staid at another hotel.

Reception staff are incredible helpful and friendly. My room, especially the bathroom didn’t feel very clean - the toilet bowl stank and there was gunk on the sink.

1st time in Brazil and definitely recommend to anyone who may feel scared about traveling to Brazil, it’s not as scary as some make it seem. The staff understand English so the language barrier isn’t an issue, recommend upgrading to the balcony, it’s worth it.

O Wi-Fi que não estava bom e tive problemas com as televisões. Nao consegui ver os jogos da copa, já que só tinha 3 canais e com muito chiado e péssima qualidade. Não puderam concertar.

A experiência foi péssima, especialmente em se tratando de um hotel com diária de quase R$ 2 mil. A suíte premium ficava no primeiro andar, o aparelho de AC fazia um barulho insuportável (que nos impediu de dormir durante toda a noite), e a porta do quarto simplesmente não trancava pelo lado fora. Inacreditável.

Basic hotel in Icarai, close to street with lots of stores and restaurants, however hotel is very basic, parking is available but very few spots, breakfast is good, bathroom needs renovation. Very noisy inside the room

First of all, I paid for 1-night with parking. But, the hotel does not have parking lot available. And I paid for it. So, I parked by myself (since the manager said.. it not his problem).
At the check out, the guy tried to charge me 1 night (that I’ve already paid through the reservation process). After a 10minutes discussion, he realized that I’ve already paid.
This hotel sucks.

HORRIBLE, Attention!!! We had to pay 345 Euro p. night for a room without windows. The pics of the room suggested windows and balcony but there were wall and bad smelling air.
They gave us after lot of trouble and long waiting’s an downgraded room without giving back part of the money

Great location and comfortable stay. We had an apartment suite with kitchenette. Only issue is we called in advance for pots and pans to cook dinner and spent $100 on groceries only to find our stove wasn’t functioning. They couldn’t fix it after several attempts. Other than that comfortable stay and I would definitely recommend the Leblon area.

Staff bilingual and very friendly and accommodating. Hotel secure. Breakfast great. Location prime. Recommend choosing a room that has a window. The upgrades suite I was in did not, which was fine for me as I wanted the more space. For those that are claustrophobic, it may be an issue. Would stay again.
