Great location and views needs a lot of updates , things felt worn and dirty

We love this place. We've stayed at Adobe Resort four times so far, twice on this trip. Each time, we've had an ocean view room. The view out the window is nothing short of spectacular. At night, the shore is illuminated with spotlights which is an added bonus. We each found ourselves up and staring out the window in the middle of the night. If we have occasion to go down the Oregon coast, we'll definitely be staying at Adobe Resort.

The room was nice they had done some new updates on the mirrors and sinks but there were a lot of little things that should’ve been fixed that weren’t for example they put a new door handle on the bathroom door that was smaller than the last and didn’t paint behind it. The room had some paint chips and scratches that needed repair. The restaurant had great food and service.

One of the best attributes of this property is the advantageous coastal location, and, it's situated right on the low bluffs on the oceanfront. Most rooms have great views. There are elevators, for luggage transport to second and third floors, which is a plus. The front desk was helpful, as well.

Spent the weekend with my granddaughter and we had an amazing time

I was disappointed after seeing the pictures from other travelers and seeing 5 star reviews. My room didn’t look like the pics at all. Apparently some rooms were remodeled but not mine. It was clean but the room was dark and had dated mismatched furniture. The staff was rude upon check in. When I discovered my 2nd floor had no elevator, I was brushed off. The view was ok. The restaurant had poor service and food tasted bad. Don’t mess with the clam chowder!

We had an Ocean View room...amazing having the waves breaking right outside. Room was clean, comfortable and had many amenities travelers appreciate.

As always the ocean view is impeccable. Whoever designed the new decor and the new theme, well let’s just say they don’t know the area or the people. The carpet made me dizzy and felt like equilibrium was off and also my significant other had the same Results on her first experience there. The color theme terrible, the remodel terrible. Cleanliness of the rooms and refreshing of the shower always great. Always been a long time guest, and will still stay there when they come to the coast just maybe not as often

Biggest issue is this entire hotel does not own an air conditioner. So slept with a box fan in an open window

Great location. We stayed in a “pet friendly” room that was run down, and not very clean. Would not stay at this hotel again

This property desperately needs an update

The property and building is old and smelly. The paint on the walls just doesn’t quite do it. The food service leaves a lot to be desired yet is considered by the hotel to be ‘fine dining’. The staff (front desk and food service) could benefit from some customer service training; they were all very odd , off putting and at times a bit mean.

Dogs are allowed, but the rooms for those with dogs is in a separate building that is not well kept.

Very nice, right at the ocean, good room. But…tv was very difficult to operate, even after several days, a definite issue. We were in 207, right above the dining hall. There was a wedding party with a band Saturday night, extremely bothersome, could not watch tv. It was almost painfully loud with the constant drumming. At 830 I complained to the desk and was told that 10pm was quiet time, 1-1/2 hr later. If we had been told about this at checkin, we would have asked for a room farther from the dining hall.

There were a few minor inconveniences like the plug drain in the bathtub and the vending machine closest to me not taking cards but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Nice place to stay RIGHT on the OCEAN! Very friendly staff.

The “from scratch” mixes for cocktails are delicious. The Blackberry Mojito was excellent and the Bloody Mary might have been the best I’ve ever tasted. Even the house salad I had during happy hour was exceptional. You can walk out to the bluff where the sea views are amazing and there’s an unobstructed view of sunset. My room was clean and spacious with a separate alcove for microwave, small fridge, keurig single serve coffee maker and extra sink. Bathroom in my room was small with no countertop or storage area for toiletries but a tiny shelf. Only one small mirror (over bathroom sink) in the whole room - fine for just me but I would suggest adding one. Great stay and I would return, especially at the last-minute mid-week rate I got ($175 including tax/fees).

Room was outdated and needed attention. Spa tub leaked the whole time, it was very annoying. Shower was dirty and very slick. My wife slipped bruising her foot. Being from Oregon I know the coast doesn’t get warm often, but it was, and our room had no cooling option. Unless you’re counting the box fan we put in the window. Staff and restaurant were amazing, but for the price and inconvenience of the location, store/gas wise we’ll be staying somewhere else next time. Also, I emailed the Adobe about our stay afterwards, never received a response. Disappointing for sure.

Loved that I had a room facing the ocean. Very pretty and worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Great place

Location location location! Views forever and places to wander to enjoy them. We had a pet friendly room and it was super spacious, clean, comfy, and well-appointed. We used the hot tub daily and it was wonderful. The pool and wading pool looked awesome too. Friendly, helpful and prompt staff, great location and a fabulous price. We’ll be back!

The room was big but it needs a lot of work. There were rooms with no window screens. Linens need replacing. Fireplace was non-functional. Lamp between beds had a broken switch, so we couldn't use it. No dresser so we could unpack for our 3-night stay. There was no a/c and even with the window open, it still got stuffy. A box fan was provided, but no place convenient to plug it in. The flies in our room were horrible. They did have plenty of hot water and good water pressure. It is nice that it is right on the ocean with a walking path. Access to the beaches at low tide is doable, but not easy.

Great location. Hotel was a bit dated. Staff was nice.

We had requested a room with a full ocean view but received a partial view instead, despite paying a higher rate. This was quite disappointing, as we were eagerly anticipating the ocean view. If the hotel doesn’t have enough rooms with a full ocean view, it should be advertised accurately to avoid misleading customers. We chose this hotel for its higher ratings, even though other options were available. The room itself was decent, but the couches and carpets could use a thorough cleaning. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Very dated rooms. No extra blanket…when we got to desk to ask for one we were told to turn the fireplace on, but, we had no fireplace. They called room a “hill view” room but it looked out over the parking lot.

I had a very comfortable stay. The room was big,clean ,comfortable. Loved having a balcony where i could sit and just listen to the ocean at night

Room wasn’t ready when we checked in around 7:30pm which was slightly annoying, but we left for ice cream and they called and said our room was ready maybe 20-30 mins later. Nice and clean rooms and perfect location in Yachats!
