Wonderful owners, friendly, loved the dog!

Our stay was just lovely and it would have been perfect except the property has so many stairs. We are 76 and 78 and lugging our belongings up and down stairs (particularly outside) was difficult. But if that is not an issue for you it is a wonderful inn, even during the time of Covid. It is clean, safe, and very comfortable. And the breakfast's are 5 star!

The host Mrs Stephanie is amazing very welcoming and an excellent breakfast cook. My family and i really enjoyed the family style breakfast (of course covid style) every morning.

The room was clean but the mattress was old and lumpy. It was so bad we couldn't sleep at all. Breakfast was great as was the service however we requested a change in our reservation a few days before our stay and they would not accommodate. Cancellation policy is misleading.

The b&b was wonderful! Loves the rustic atmosphere and waking up in the forest! The bathrobes are a wonderful touch. Breakfast was good, did t know we could have eaten sooner as 9 was too late for us early risers. Will definitely stay again!

Stephanie McCaffrey and team were excellent hosts! A beautiful spot in the Sierras, easy to find and convenient but feels secluded and tucked away. Just a few minutes from Twain Harte, a really cute little mountain village.

Breakfast was excellent; room was clean; bed sheet had some sweaty smell; towels were old; tap water had rusty taste; too far from Yosemite.

Very welcoming and cozy with a beautiful view of the forest our room was huge with three beds and a very large patio .

Beautiful setting, gracious host, delicious breakfasts, and lovable dog, Ollie. A peaceful, relaxing home away from home. We used McCaffrey House as our base for two trips into Yosemite. Be sure to ask Stephanie for other day trip ideas to nearby lakes and state parks. Thank you, Stephane, for a wonderful stay (and for your bread pudding recipe!).

It is a lovely inn. My room was beautiful, the breakfast delicious. The proprietor was extremely flexible and accommodating. Next time I go I’m taking my dog, Ozzie to play with Ollie, the resident golden retriever.

The owners and staff were excellent. Breakfast was delicious each morning. The wine and cheese at 5:00 was fun with the chance to talk with other guests. We stayed in the Wedgewood (Room 8) where the shower was excellent—plenty of water pressure and hot water. Our only complaint was the mattress was quite soft (seemed old) and my wife felt like she was going to roll out of bed all night. Highly recommended to stay here!

The bed and breakfast experience was fantastic. The area was fabulous for relaxing and resting in a quiet setting

The hotel is hidden in the hill near the road. The scene is beautiful and the hosts are hospitable. The house is well furnished. The bedroom cleanness is ok, but the bathroom is good. Shower is comfortable despite the drought in the hill. I recommend foreign tourists stay in such a hotel, because it is a wonderful opportunity to get familiar with American family.

This Inn, nestled in the forest outside Yosemite, is quite beautiful. Being our first stay in a BED and BREAKFAST, we expected both Bs to be exceptional. The bed was wonderful, but the breakfasts were so-so. Arriving at 5:30, we hoped we hadn't missed the entire 5pm wine and cheese reception. No worries, all the guests were still waiting. 7am coffee was ready at 7:30. 7:30 breakfast was ready at 8:30, and was more like fast-food fare than the special dishes we expected. We were ushered out to the damp cold deck, instead of being invited to enjoy the warm beautiful dining room. Bless her heart, Stephanie (owner) seemed more put-out than welcoming. Maybe we caught her on a couple of bad days? She spent more time on her computer than making her guests feel comfortable. Whispers abounded during breakfast, regarding lack of attention, lack of concern, and lack of anything memorable. With no prior experience, we were all ears, as to what we should expect at this type of Inn. We wanted to love more than just the look of this place, but unfortunately, that was not the case. We drove away, questioning our decision to book 2 more B and Bs on our 3-week vacation. The next one, several days and many miles later, was pure joy. Their Inn-Keeper was top-shelf, and their chef delighted our senses with unique, creative, mouth-watering dishes. McCaffrey House has that same potential, to be a great experience for those who enter its doors, but it's simply a nice house in the forest.

The hotel is family owned and they are very nice and they tried to make your stay as comfortable as they can. The house is setting in quiet woods, both the building and garden are pretty. We enjoyed our stay.

Mike and Stephanie are warm and awesome hosts. Can't wait to go back!

After driving through the National Parks, we did not want to leave the mountains. McCaffrey's, at 4000 feet elevation, was the perfect destination. Wonderful room with balcony, large bathroom, and excellent linens on king size bed provided the rest we were looking for. And our host, Stephanie, happily discussed options for our sight seeing adventures and answered all our flatlander questions. She was great! We even met fellow travelers from Denmark and San Fransisco while eagerly awaiting fresh fruit and hot baked breakfast fare. We even enjoyed watching the Stellar blue jays feeding under the pine trees and the friendly squirrels frequenting this location.
