Great location big rooms very quiet nice staff good breakfast

Small and cosy hotel in the heart of Gdansks old city centre. Fine breakfeast without being excellent. The main advantage is its location. Closest neighbour is a beer bar which have both pro and cons (some noise in the summer weekends)

We were provided a hotel room that was initially a part of a bigger two room solution. Right by our bed there was a locked regular door straight into the next room where other guests stayed. This was extremely noisy, we could hear everything from that room as well as everyone in the lobby. This made it difficult to sleep and feel any type of privacy, since we essentially shared rooms with the entire bottom floor. We would not have booked this hotel if this was informed during the booking. When we spoke about this to the staff, they said that they were aware of these problems with this particular room, but it was the only one available. Also, the staff didnt offer to look at available rooms the next night or offer any type of compensation which was disappointing. Would not rate this hotel as a 4 star, especially when we paid much for the stay due to new years. We felt somewhat decieved of our stay.

Warm welcome to the hotel. Clean, warm and comfortable. 24hr reception was very welcome and the staff were friendly. Great shower. Would definitely stop again.

The pillows was to small, made it a bit uncomfortable. Small bed for 2 persons. Some noise from the road. Overall a good hotel that I have used several times. Short walk down to the river, but that area is under reconstruction.

It was comfortable, clean and everything you want from an affordable hotel close to all the relevant amenities in Gdansk. Staff were always on hand to help, and were very friendly. All round, fabulous value.

They went out of their way to assist with any questions or requests I had, making me feel valued as a guest. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to the overall experience. A delicious breakfast was served in the morning. The variety of options catered to different tastes, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect way to start my day before heading out to explore the city. This hotel offers a fantastic location, attentive staff, and delightful breakfast, it truly stands out as a wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Really spacious clean rooms. Welcoming reception. Ideal location. Note there are a number of steep steps at the front so not suitable if you wheelchair or issue with steps.

All reception staff very helpful and efficient. They all spoke good English. We had a triple attic room which was spacious , quiet, and comfortable. Always had decent quantities and pressure of water. The small boutique hotel offers a very good breakfast which we liked, but one can opt out of that if breakfast is not your thing. Hotel is well positioned for the water front just a couple of hundred metres to walk -and so it is within easy reach whilst away from the hustle & bustle. It is around a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the main train station. Basic tourist information is available at the hotel, and unfortunately there is not much more at the Gdansk tourist offices which seem more willing to sell something to you than provide tourist info. The giant St John's church next door is impressive. Thankfully it is little used as a church as such so the bells do not ring... it does have events and is geared up for various sorts of small concerts/ theatre. Virtually all the touristy things, and shops are walkable from the hotel and teh hotel reception staff will give advice and book things for you - including train tickets should you wish to go further afield. We visited Malbork Castle on one train (~30mins away) and Torun medieval city (~2.5hrs away), both highly recommended inexpensive train trips. We think Gdansk offers a lot for tourists and likely has something for every taste and the Celestin Residence is a good base for your trip in our opinion.
