I don't know what it takes to get 3 stars or above but the Seacrest Inn is above 2 stars in my book. We had the Mermaid room. It was just right for our 15th anniversary. The view from the upstairs patio was phenomenal and I really enjoyed the little patio right outside our room. It's a short walk from the dock. Everyone there was friendly and helpful

The Seacrest Inn (not to be confused with Seacrest Out) was a perfect hotel for a weekend in town for a wedding. All of the positive reviews you read about this place are true. The room "The Loft" was super comfortable and had great access to the rooftop terrace. My A/C was out, but it didn't matter because there were enough fans in the room to make it feel like there was air conditioning. If you are doing a quick trip to Catalina, stay here. It's affordable, walkable to EVERYTHING and the staff is great.

Super friendly staff… room was very small and jacuzzi tub inoperable. TV volume was set so that it was too low to hear clearly even at maximum volume. Toilet clogged 7/10 times that it was used. Would book again because of convenience of location and kind staffing, but there should be some work done.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The shower wasn’t the best and room service could have been available but we just asked for clean towels. Michael was great, very personable. The terrace was great for our evening glass of wine.

I stayed in the garden room. However the stopper for the tub was broken when I tried to use the spa tub. I had to use a towel instead to keep the water from going down. There were black hairs in the bathroom towels upon arrival, and the floors were dirty. However, the king bed was nice and comfy and slept well.

Lovely place, a block from the beach and a couple doors down from Ghost Tours and a massage place. Loved the giant in-room jaccuzi tub. It's going to be even nicer once the city phases out the rest of those noisy gas-powered golf carts and replaces them with electric. The stairs were behind my room, so I can't verify the Ghost Tours allegation that said stairs are sometime used by people who are not there.

My fiancé and I loved our room it was so cute ! And great views on the terrace at night we enjoyed it, it’s very peaceful and I loved the service made us feel so safe and welcome thank you and we will be back here from now on ☺️🙌!! Everything is at a good walking distance very close to main attractions and ocean and affordable very accommodating!

Very friendly staff. Small but nice rooms. Had thin walls so we could hear other guests. Very nice roof deck with amazing view.

Nice place to stay, great location. A little noisy early in the afternoon

Seacrest was a lovely place to stay. It was simple yet clean and the staff were very helpful and kind. The pros: location - you're just a block away from all the main Avalon shops, mini-golf and restaurants. Also, there was a rooftop lounge with beautiful views and a bbq set up so you could lounge with friends after the sun went down or sunbathe to a crisp if you wanted to avoid beach crowds. The cons: It's a little outdated and the bed was so creaky, I had to try to not move once I was on it. The wifi is weak and the television is an internet tv, so often there was not enough signal to watch anything. But, why do you want to watch tv when you're in Catalina anyway? Overall, it's a great little place without too hefty a price tag.

The room was clean and cost. The frig and microwave definitely came in handy. The rooftop seating was amazing. Additional, towels were provided. Centrally located. Walked everywhere.

The staff was so kind and helpful!! The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this location to someone visiting Catalina and I will for sure be staying here again when I visit in the future !!

amazing hotel great location

While the location was perfect, the room was disappointing. There is literally no door separating the main room from the bathroom. The mgr said that all rooms are like this. It felt very exposed with zero privacy. The bed frame was extremely noisy and the slightest turn made the whole bed shake and creak. Not conducive to a good nights sleep when your spouse tosses and turns thru the night.

Great views from the rooftop. Room was small but very efficient; had everything we needed. Close/walking distance to everything on the island. Customer service was outstanding.

While the property could use some updating, our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff (Michael) was great! And you can’t beat the location. Close to the Catalina Express dock, the beach, the shops, and all the restaurants. If you stay here don’t miss the roof top terrace. Even though it’s only 4 floors up, you have a great view of everything.

Our stay was excellent. From the moment we arrived Michael was the best host. Very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed. The mini fridge and microwave was a plus. Walking distance within everything was no more than 10mins. Will definitely book here again.

Nice place, reasonable pricing, clean,they let you check in as soon as your room is ready they keep your bags for you until you are ready to get on the boat. Staff is friendly and helpful
