Well appointed and comfortable rooms in renovated hotel, with ample parking and lovely surrounds. Ideal location if you are visiting Yeovil or surrounding area. Wonderful cooked breakfast using local produce.

Dissappointed to book under the belief that spa was open for use only to find out on arrival it remains closed. This should be made clear on website

Really nice room with a good view of the garden. Big bathroom. Complimentary mini bar. Great service from the staff. Its a shame jacuzzi area was closed. Breakfast was ok.

Charming Staff, very helpful, good breakfast, spacious room, very good restaurant for dinner. The only issue I had was the height of the side of the bath, requiring more that a little caution to access the shower

I would suggest they close the restaurant for others if they are catering to large groups instead of small groups being made to feel like a problem or having to accommodate the larger group. We had to order quickly, wait and rush our starter to accommodate a large group.

A lovely hotel with beautiful garden, but perhaps not quite meeting its 'luxury' tag. The room was large and quirky, with a lovely bathroom, although a little dark being in the roof space. The bed was a little hard though, which didn't make for the best night's sleep.Food was a mixed bag - steak was perfectly cooked, but chips under cooked. Breakfast was decent, if not overly special.Staff were also mixed. Lovely waiting staff at dinner, followed by a rather abrupt lady taking our order at breakfast. Most disappointingly we were double charged at checkout, having paid online beforehand. We informed the reception staff of this fact but they assured us it was normal practice and they hadn't been paid by Hotels.com. Upon checking later, this was incorrect and we had to call up to get refunded by the hotel - which was quick and painless, but noticeably missing the word "sorry", which a shame.Covid restrictions were in place, although not always followed by some residents (...a tendency to walk around maskless between spaces, sadly without being challenged).

Excellent Hotel, with friendly staff. Easy parking onsite. Rooms are lovely and the location was very convenient as close to Yeovil where my business meetings were.

The building is nice - but the service and the food quality does not live up to its façade. The breakfast was under-cooked and two, different members of staff were unhelpful and rude. We arrived in the middle of the heatwave and there was no room climate control at all - we asked for a fan to be told 'well, you can have mine but I'm hot too you know!' The Queen room we booked was not a Queen bed - and we were then told they don't HAVE Queen beds .. so why is this advertised?

Everyone is so friendly and will go out of their way to help.

We’ve stayed at Lanes Hotel several times and don’t have a bad word to say about it, it’s really 1st class.

A visit to family in the area, enhanced by an excellent family meal in the well appointed restaurant and the friendliness of the staff.

Very much looked forward to staying at the Lanes on a weekend working business trip. Chosen for location and having a contemporary image and spa facilities for relaxation. On check the room was very pleaseing with nice touches like fridge in room with complimentary milk, water and soft drinks. Also robe, slippers and lovely ensuite all immaculately clean. However there was no air conditioning - it was so stuffy and hot with surprisingly lots of road noise I had a bad night's sleep. Very much looked forward to breakfast on Saturday and Sunday only to go downstairs at 7.45am to a locked door to reception and the dining room! So no breakfast on both days before long working days. I was told by manager on check out 'there was little demand' for breakfast early at weekends! After a long day I thought I'd try the hot to tub and sauna - sauna was cold on a timer and hot tub lasted 5 mins before a 15 min timer pause - crazy! Was told at the bar no set time for dinner ending - went to restaurant at 9.25pm to be told kitchen was closed! Very helpful staff member Jordan however persuaded chef to do me a salad which I had in my room as there was a very loud wedding party going on. On check out manager tried to charge me twice for room even though it was paid for on Expedia and a VAT receipt couldn't be produced! Overall nice contemporary design hotel with mostly pleasant staff but no good for a weekend business travelling and badly run. Wouldn't stay again.
