The room was dirty! Very disappointed to pay so much and it wasn’t clean

Very poor communication. Stuck outside property with no way to get in. Rude lady on other end of phone. Finally find a mobile number rang that another 20 mins to accsess property. He was helpful. Then couldnt access private parking. Until late at night. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom spotless. Heating good. Very very noisy from being on main street.

Property is in a great location and is well appointed.
If I were to say a negative, that would be the shower / spa bath didn’t drain as fast as the shower , leaving a pool of water which eventually subsided and the leak around the taped shower frame which I hadn’t noticed until it contacted my dry clothes

Hot water is on some kind of weird timer and goes cold every 3 out 5 mins. You have t turn it off, wait 15 secs and start again.

Fantastic location, but the property is a bit tired; one of the blinds in the living room was broken, so at street level people could see in. However for us the main letdown was the room situation. You pay for beds, not rooms, and we were a bit confused when we got a message about extra bedding costs (even though we booked via Expedia for our party). It was quickly resolved and the communication was excellent. For a short stay this property does the trick, but longer stays may disappoint.

The place was just ok for a night stay. Everthing is run down and needs alot of work to make nice again. The location was awesome but thats not enough to come back.

The easy to use contactless check in is just the start of the great stay at The Waterfront Apartments. Firstly the apartment was perfect. Large and roomy living and dining area with a well appointed kitchen complemented the spacious bedrooms. A furnished balcony provided a perfect place to rest and watch the world go by. The location was perfect, right on the waterfront and close to a great selection of restaurants, cafes and hotels. You are one block away from Westfield shopping centre. Overall an excellent place to base yourself when visiting the region and one we would not hesitate to use again. One small word of warning, you get one free off street parking spot in the underground parking area - if you have a vehicle larger than a compact then getting around the carpark is not for the feint hearted!

Close proximity to water and conference venue was positive.
Obtaining keys from letter box drop was problematic - poor lighting restricted vision to combination.
Car parking space(s) and entrance ramps were restrictive
Shower in ensuite had mold on grout.

You will need to let yourself in as there is no one on site. Detailed phone/text instructions regarding this can be a little confusing. Car park is tight, luckily we had a small car.
The water view is from a corner of the balcony.
The second bedroom has no window or storage.
Main bedroom has a large window and inbuilt storage.
Blankets would be a nice addition as duvet is too hot in summer.
The unit has a washing machine in the bathroom however dryer is in main bedroom.
Large open lounge/ dining area however no dining suite, only bar stools at breakfast bar. Comfortable lounge with air conditioning.
Overall the unit was acceptable but not luxury.

First the good points:
The location was brilliant.
Now the bad points:
Apartment was smelly, floorboards were warped, walls needed painting, door handles broken and locks missing or damaged, furniture looked like it was picked up off the side of the road, very low water pressure in the showers, bathrooms and laundry not clean, rubbish left on the balcony, TV in the master bedroom missing. We also had a safety issue with balcony sliding doors not locking properly and a man had jumped onto our balcony from the footpath and opened the sliding door (not the fault of the owner but we had locked the balcony and the lock had failed).
I spoke to the owner and he told me that he was aware of all the issues and that the apartment was 18 years old and in need of so work, but hasn't got around to it. He offered to fix some of the issues but we were travelling with our 3 month old baby and needed the apartment as a base, not having tradesman working while we were staying.
We were so disappointed because we were looking forward to enjoying a modern, clean, 4 star apartment on the waterfront of Geelong as the photos showed but unfortunately we received the opposite.

Great things were closeness and view of the bay, central Geelong shops, the shower, the bed.
Cleanliness needed improvement - dust clumps in the wardrobes and under the coffee table, smudges on the wardrobe mirrors & inside fridge.

This place was great for both couple an family and for price I couldn of asked for more it had all the fun extras swimming pool sauna even spa tub in the apartment it self an a belcony it was clean an quite big for its size I loved staying there it was truely great

Our stay here was great other then the door handle no dramas at all but owner was aware of door handle and going to replace. Close to all amenities Shops, beach, waterfront. Only issue is parking was pretty difficult but other then that we had a lovely stay.

Need to pre-arrange check-in as property does not have front desk. Note that this is a "self-contained" apartment, not a "serviced" apartment, hence you will need to take care of your own washing and rubbish. Handwash and a few day's worth of shampoo were provided, and not replenished. I stayed 5 nights and bed sheet was also not changed. It was falsely advertised with free WIFI. The reality was you had to use Novotel Hotel's free WIFI, which was in the next building, and signal was very weak. The apartment I stayed in did not come with a dryer when I checked in on the first day (although it was also advertised). To his credit, the manager (John) arranged for a new dryer to be installed by the 2nd day. Apartment is near to Westfield, so it's rather convenient except most of the shops closes at 5pm.

Great location for stay in Geelong. It was a bit of a lengthy instructions to access, but luckily host on site when we arrived. Would be great to have some basic provisions in room to add to experience and encourage a return visit/positive recommendation.

Apartment itself is fine. Check in was not very good. We were given the wrong key and could not lock the door. It took nearly an hour for the staff to come over to replace the wrong key with the right one.

Lovely view of the park across the road . Water and harbour 500 mt away , Westfield shopping centre 3 mins walk . Prior to our arrival I contacted Management with some enquiries their response was excellent. During our stay a family emergency arose requiring my sister join us,They where able to provide additional on property parking for her. Our unit was clean and comfortable and provided us with all the essential items we may have needed. An enjoyable stay for us at a well managed properly .
