The location was just what we were looking for; secluded and private. Just right for a true weekend getaway. Very quiet and "next to nature".

The property has a very late check in time (4:00 pm) and early checkout (10:00 am). The first thing we noticed upon opening the front door was that the house was very nicely decorated but had a strong musty smell, possibly because the house is off the ground and located on property that is low and right next to a swampy area. The smell stayed thru our entire visit. There were silverfish in the bathtubs and several dead roaches on the floor of the bedrooms. The lock on the back door was broken and could not be opened either from the inside or outside (a clear fire code violation). There were no blankets or spread on the master bedroom bed. Very disappointing for such a quaint and beautiful property! I called management about the issues and they had to send a locksmith and housekeeping out after hours to correct the issues, although we still had the bugs! We wouldn't have stayed except the property has a no refund policy. I can see why! We won't be booking this property again.
