very quaint stylish hotel. staff were so friendly and helpful - all our extra needs were met. very comfortable beds. location excellent - a short walk down to shops restaurants and the gorgeous city. The views from the hotel stunning. the breakfast was good.

Beautiful building. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The guy at the reception even helped make a reservation for us at a local restaurant.

No tea/Coffee making facilities. Restaurant run by a different company……service was very bad. The bar for pre dinner drinks only sat about 4/5 people and very expensive.

Really cute rooms. Our room for a family of 4 opened up to a little courtyard. Easy parking. Really lovely staff! Quiet location but easy to access the 'downtown' area. If we're ever in Besancon again, we'll definitely stay here again! Also, we enjoyed breakfast here in the morning. Couldn't have been easier. Lovely spread of eggs, bacon, ham, pastries, cheese and breads with fresh juice and tea/coffee. We also had dinner at the restaurant but thought it was a little expensive.

The staff was very friendly. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The location/view of the breakfast room and -terrace is fantastic. One is surrounded by mountains and trees. You forget that you are in a city. The breakfast was good, fresh products and good coffee.

Very cute, unique room. Lovely restoration overall. Beautiful view. Very helpful, accommodating staff. Good air conditioning. Pet-friendly. Refrigerator. Excellent parking on site (in the garden).

Very uncomfortable bed and pillows. No luxury to the bed or bathroom. No drawers or shelves for clothes (you have to live out of your suitcase). No iron or coffee maker. The room had an extra single bed that would be better utilized if it was a sofa bed (so you could have a place to sit and relax). Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to vacation (at peak tourist time??) which meant a walk down the hill into town each night. (Yes, be aware this hotel is on a hill). Garden has huge potential but is quite unkept.

Lovely garden and grounds. Drive to the hotel was rather exciting as it's up the hill within the citadel.

Bed is too small and there was no air conditioning. In the height of the summer, it was not pleasant. Breakfast was an extra 19 euros per person per day and you have to pay extra for use of the spa facilities.
