Great hotel for exploring Andalusia

It was very nice. Looked brand new. Rugs were the only thing I wasn’t sure. They looked ok but can never tell if they were weekly cleaned or lightly vacuumed.

Spacious entry and sitting area. We found the bar to be a nice comfortable area to relax after a day of walking around the town. It was only an eight minute walk to town, which is very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Needs renovating. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very old , not seen a hairdryer like the one in the room I stayed in since the 70’s
Got bitten all over by I assume bed bugs, now on antibiotics

The Antequera Hills fails to meet expectations, as presented.
Large hotel with modern facade but lack personal service quality and overall appearance to meet up to its promises. It is actually quite worn.
Check-in has room for improvement in most areas. You are a guest, not someone needing correctional actions.
And where are luggage carts when needed?
Outdated and unpersonal rooms with ”spare” furniture and outdated textiles. Tried a suite but not worth the extra cost. Would be nice to have a waist paper bin. And a shower cabin in a suite - really?
The terrass had more weeds than our backyard.
A quite basic, boring and school type bar and restaurant. Only buffe and opens at eight - good to know if you have another schedule. I give it to them being bold enough to charge 14 euros extra for breakfast.
Not a memorable hotel experience for travelling couples but maybe a decent overnight stop for business or as a turist group. View from higher up is nice, easy to reach, good parking but surroundings rural.
The hotel is dog friendly - it says. However, we fast learned that our dog does not fit the template. Another harsh and not so valuable lesson. Now we know - time to put her on a diet.
The conclution is that four stars alone does not provide quality - nice experiences during the stay does. I would give two stars - and that is stretching it.
Poor customer service not only destroys existing customer relationships. It also puts at risk future prospects.

It is a hotel in a good location, good service, impeccable cleanliness, a good buffet. I recommend it 100%.

Beautiful large bedroom.
Bathroom a bit dated but very clean.
Shower leaves you frustrated.
Service at reception helpful to a fault. Maybe a checkout key service would speed things up.
Enormous foyer area with comfortable chairs to relax on.

Easy check-in. Polite and professional man on reception. Spacious room. Quiet. Nice shower. Amazingly comfortable large bed with sumptuous bedding. I didn't want to leave. Plenty of street parking. Option to pay 10€ for indoor parking.

Our room had multiple white stains on the floor, the walls and curtains had stains of what looked to be mustard or similar.
We changed rooms and the second room had broken air condition and the door to the bathroom would not close, due to being misaligned.
The breakfast had a booking system, we came 10 min early but still had to wait 20 min longer. There were no clean glasses for the juice, both coffee machines were out of order.
The gym and spa was closed.
Would not recommend.

Room was very spacious, bed was comfortable, shower worked well with lots of hot water. We enjoyed using the outdoor swimming pool, paid 5 euros extra to park our car undercover. Hotel is located in a quiet part of town, about 20 minutes walk to good restaurants and shops.

Very loud music until midnight three nights out of seven, meaning that we couldn't sleep properly.
Poor hygiene in restaurant. I had food poisoning at breakfast and had to stay in bed all day. After that I couldn't risk any any food that might be "off", so I was very limited in what I could eat. This was a waste of the money I had paid for a full buffet.
The hotel wifi was incredibly slow and went off constantly. This meant I had to pay a lot of extra money to use the mobile phone network.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Antequera for 2 nights. It is on the outskirts of town. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinners. The hotel is tired but quite comfortable.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed for just one night so we couldn't use all their facilities, but everything looked great.

Although we were surprised by the amenities offered at the hotel, there was room for improvement. The restaurant stafff was disorganized so coffee machines and toasters did not work. Some staff members were very rude. Plates were not cleared. However the food was very good. We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed pretty much every meal.The general upkeep of the hotel is lacking....torn carpets, unfinished painting, burned lampshades, torn curtains. It was kept clean by the staff.Location was great. Front desk staff was helpful and efficient.I would tell a friend to stay there but to be aware that it is run down.

The hotel is a large block built on the edge of town, where a lot of new development seems to be happening. Location is good for those travelling with their own cart, as on-street and covered parking is available. Hotels in town make parking problematic!The rooms are nice, spacious, clean and airy. There is a pool, with cafe overlooking and a small bar area that also serves snack food. There is also a wonderful restaurant on the premises too.The hotel partly-sponsors a little tourist train that meanders through all the major sights and this is highly recommended as a way to travel into town and back. You can get on and off at will.

The hotel breakfast price compared to local area restaurants was dabble. The health centre (swimming pool, gym, Sona,...) only open 12:30-22:00 which we couldnt use it as we went out at 11:00 till late in the evening. The room was a bit cold at night and we request the heating but they said it is not a winter time so no hearing at the moment.
