Room very small studio like, 1 window felt alittle claustrophobic, but perfect location, right across the pier

Just amazing!!! Everything is so convenient.

This hotel is across the street from the beach and the shared balconies on each floor overlook the pier and ocean. The shaded balconies have a large outdoor lounger set and several tables so you can drink your morning coffee or do some work while taking in the sights and sounds. The rooms are comfortable with a nice bathroom, TV, mini split air conditioner, and refrigerator. The rooms are small but just big enough to not feel too cramped. There’s a large closet and the bathroom had a nice sized shower. It was weird that the shampoo and body wash were just laying on the floor as there is no shelf or ledge to place anything. We arrived 1.5 hours early and they wanted $50 for early check in before 3pm. I could see if we were trying to check in before 12 noon but not an hour earlier when the room was actually ready. There is parking in a garage that was convenient. Would stay again because of location and adequacy.

What an amazing stay! The room was amazing! We were in a lovely location so close to everything and quick access to free trolly or affordable rail to LA or San Dieago. Walk across the stree to the beautiful beach. This is a place i will stay again. If you prefer a pol over the ocean, there's a hot tub in the bathroom that was incrediblly clean.

The proximity to the pier was perfect!!

Loved being on the top floor with the wonderful view and huge patio. The place was super clean and nice. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 for property condition is that the patio didn't drain the rain easily on the patio for the top floor. The rest of the building and stairs were maintained in nicely. The garage to park your car is about 30 yards away. This a boutique hotel is older so you have a few stairs to get to some rooms.

We had a perfect weekend getaway. The hotel was right across from the pier so we left our car in the secured garage and walked to shopping, dining, and the beach.

Someone left a dead fish on the patio near the room but the staff was prompt in cleaning it up and getting rid of the smell.

Quaint! Lovely location

Stay was great. Great room, easy check-in, parking garage is worth it, beautiful ocean view and great location. We loved the common area with seating to enjoy the view. Loved being right next to the pier and restaurants.

Relaxing

Room was full of mosquitos and while we swatted as many as possible we could not get rid of them. Wifi in Room 1 does not work. Towels similar to Motel 6. The name of the hotel is almost non-existent on the signage. We had to find the location via the street number. Parking is challenging but parking fee is very reasonable. Overall good location, but don't expect perfection.

Nice stay in San Clemente. Room was everything we needed! TV with Roku, bathroom, bathroom, shower, bed, mini fridge were all solid. Microwave would have been nice but no biggie. Wish we could have waived or reduced the early check in fee as we arrived a few hours before the 3 PM check in. Overall great and special stay. Location right on the pier was awesome. Also close to the Del Mar shops area. Awesome town, nice stay.

The place is run down and dirty. Dirty walls cracked bathroom tiles. The cops came running through the hotel yelling and chasing people at 1:00 am. We left something in our room and they won’t respond to our request to mail it to us.

Best views in San Clemente by the Pier!

Quirky old building full of beach shabby chic. Excellent location made for a wonderful stay-cation! Loved it! Will definitely be back.

Excellent location. Great walking areas. Pet friendly. The train can run by late at night, very noisy. Not the hotel's fault of course. Very good overall

The room was small bathroom floor had a large crack all the way across the tile trains we’re driving by at 10 to 12 o’clock at night waking me up poor sleep it was a horrible experience

Very pleasant stay with a terrific view of the pier. In fact, the only negative is that the sun never come out from behind the clouds!

The floor in the room was not clean, and you could feel it just by walking around. It be greatly appreciated if temporary luggage storage after check out was offered as an option, so the customers can explore the area a bit longer.

The hotel has a great view and the feel of the neighborhood is good. However, there was no mention of the train tracks between the hotel and the beach and the 1:00 am freight train was really disturbing. I was surprised that no mention of this was in other reviews.

Perfect location across from the pier. Hotel room was small and older but Clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant had great drinks, food and service. Would stay here again.
