We found some things misleading. Yes they have parking.....but its a few blocks away.....yes, technically you can see the harbor from some rooms, but only if you look over and around other buildings. Not exactly an area i would have felt safe without my husband.
They need to continue upgrading, for example, the wooden ceiling was 4 different colors of wood and my husband (a construction guy) saw mold on the wood.
However, the staff was great and the bar downstairs was the best part of the hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It seems to be going downhill. Room wasn’t bad but shower was not the cleanest. 1 fairly thin blanket ( glad we brought our own). The 1st room we had had no remote for the television, went down to front desk and he said yea that room does not have a working tv, want me to move you
!Breakfast” was awful, nothing to choose from, the few pastries they did have were gross.
When we checked in, there was an employee at the front desk. When out to our car to get a few more things, came back in and had a question about parking and that same employee was outside chatting with friends while we waited.
I hope they can change their ways so that we can co time to stay at the hotel, we love the location.

The television in the room did not function. The front desk offered to reimburse me $50 for the inconvenience, as they could not repair it and there was no other room available.

We had a very pleasant although brief stay and everything as always was perfect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Please note the location is great and close to the ferry. However, what are described as harbor view rooms, really arent much of a view. You get a peek through buildings. Regardless, the staff are very friendly, a nice bar/restaurant, rooms are clean and a neat vibe to the building. We have stayed before and will be back again.

My third time here and probably the best. The city appears to have finished the sidewalk and street upgrades and looks much better. There are several dining options in the area which is very walkable. There’s plenty of whaling history in this old section of town. The hotel is a converted building but is very clean and not in your modern conventional style of hotel. There’s a bar on the ground floor with several tv’s. They do offer a limited free breakfast of coffee, pastries, cereal, juices, and bagels. This is an improvement that was lacking before. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating.

Place is in a noisy area. Photos are deceiving. Staff unprofessional. The place is run down, dirty, ripped towels in bathroom. Not worth over the $200 I spent!!! Such a rip off, could not wait to get out of there.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it has a cool vibe. The decor is not the usual bland, tan, industrial wallcovering and carpeting.
It's clean and quiet, in the middle of a town I quite like: safe, walkable, easy parking. Not a tourist town, though. Shops and restaurants close early.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had adequate amenities. The view was nice from the 4th floor. There were some issues with the keyless entry to the room, but it was corrected both times with grace. Breakfast was standard continental with a microwave and toaster. I would recommend this hotel.

Quick walk to the ferry and museums. Close to Providence , Newport the Cape !

The room was dusty, the toilet seat in the bathroom was stained with urine, the sheets on one of the beds looked worn and wrinkled. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working.

they claim to have parking, but its 2 blocks away(in the rain) the lobby and resturant and sitting area are all in the same area and same entrance, They include breakfast but the resturant was closed. so all in all not impressed

Pleasant stay for the price. We were there for 2 nights on the second floor- very noisy (street noise) through the night. Our room was not cleaned on the first night so we had to ask for clean towels. We did not have breakfast as there was limited selection but found good options close by.

We stayed at the New Bedford Hotel in order to meet our daughter at the ferry. It was a very easy stay, super comfortable and convenient to restaurants and the wonderful, world-class Whaling Museum.

I am only giving this hotel 3 stars, in comparing it to other hotels across the US and more. However, that being said, this was a perfectly fine hotel in this very small town. Not a lot going on in this town so you can't expect a super elegant hotel. But for our purpose (a nearby wedding), it was fine. Room and bathroom are very small. Bed was comfy but very soft. Decor was done to be stylish in an industrial type of way, but the furniture and toiletries were pretty low end. Feel that it was overpriced for what you got. Staff was super friendly and very efficient. Continental breakfast was included but we never ate it.

I hate to say this before I know for sure but took some samples from our bed after noticing that the mattress cover was stained and dirty. There was residue that could be bed bugs. I spoke with the staff and they said the manager would come in at nine but the person didn’t show perhaps because it was Sunday. We then had to leave to return a rental car. Check your bedding when you check in there.

The room wasn't ready so we had to downgrade our room type at 4pm. They seemed short staffed and overwhelmed, but the front desk staff was helpful. Small things were overlooked- low on toilet paper, only two towels, there was a soda in the fridge, TV didn't work. We were disappointed.
