All the step stairs .. but understand this is the character of the building I never gave it a thought being on the high street that it’s a main thoroughfare for all the bars clubs and restaurants.. I hardly slept the first night due to the noise of party revellers until it quietened down about 3.30am

The place was beautiful, and the rooms were lovely with a feel of home and cosy. The position is wonderful right in the middle of the village right opposite the cathedral. Everything you need is a quick walk, and the historical facts of the town are amazing. Highly recommend this place to stay and the staff were wonderful

The room was spotlessly clean, a good size with high ceilings. The hotel is right in the middle of the High Street so a great location. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We didn't use them as we were only there one night, but the bar and dining areas both looked really nice.

It's outside of the hotel's control, but Rochester High Street is very busy at night (at least on weekends) and therefore quite noisy. There are venues with late licenses so people are out and about all night long. We were at the front of the building and didn't get a great night's sleep as a result. Rooms at the back are probably quieter and it's likely to be less of an issue on weeknights.

Really lovely staff, everything you need or want to do is right outside the front door. The view of the cathedral from our window was beautiful. Great big flat screen TV in our room.

The location is excellent as the cathedral and castle are just over the road. The train station is also close by. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is an ideal spot for going on a night out and not having to pay taxi to get anywhere as your right on the high street and can just walk but was very disappointed with a number of things with the hotel and room not to my standard for the money I got charged was not worth 75.00 pound

Room was dirty and walls were yellow kettle had no where to be plugged in window was broken not able to be opened or used so room stayed hot stuffy with no air to circulate the room as had big sign on window not to open it temperature tap in shower said not to touch so basically all guests have to shower with the heat its set to when guests like their showers and baths all different temperatures and me I love a nice hot bath and shower and like to feel clean at the end of my dip so for me personally with not being able to adjust this temperature on the shower I did not enjoy my shower I had and or like the heat of it as personally was too cold for my liking if I was looking for another short stay or weekend stay in rochester this hotel I will definitely not be staying in again as was not to my standards and too many signs in the room of what you couldn't do and felt like a prison cell rather then a hotel room.

The Hotel was in a perfect location to visit Rochester High Street the Cathedral and Castle. The Hotel was not staffed at all times, but there were staff there when needed. The breakfast was really good, freshly cooked and plenty of choice with the cereals, fresh fruit and drinks. Our room was over looking the High Street and very clean and tidy, could probably do with a new coat of paint in the near future, as there were slight patches on the walls. The facilities in the room were also good, tea, coffee etc.

The only downside was that we had to pay an extra £10.00 per night for parking. This I found to be quite expensive considering we paid £170.00 for 2 nights. This could have been included. Although this was clearly advertised on the booking. Just think it should have been included in the cost.

From the moment we arrived to the day we departed was excellent. The staff was great, the breakfast was great and the accommodation was very reasonable for the price. Above all, not only would I recommend it, I would stay here again.
