House was completely open which in theory is a cool concept but we had hundreds of bug bites as the house is on the water. Though it’s super fun location for snorkeling, the house is quite hot and made it difficult to sleep. First night we didn’t have water after 9pm so no toilet use, teeth brushing or showering😔 also, feedback for booking: host was unaware there were 4 kids with us even though I entered all that info in. We were expected to pay an extra $60. Also didn’t like that no credit cards could be used. $400 is a lot for a cash payment!

the bungalow is great. it’s beautiful and it’s exactly as you see in the pictures. The owner was nice, she picked us up the first day and was also there for the check out. they provide a kayak and also masks for snorkelling. be aware that, as the description says, this accommodation is overwater and you’ll have to take water taxis to move around.

We cooked our own meals, as a full kitchen was oart of the house itself. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open dining area just above our private dock. Wonderful swimming in the warm Caribbean waters, tropical fish swimming all around our dock. The most relaxing vacation we have shared. This place is awesome !!

Hot water heater was tricky to figure out. This house has an instantaneous hot water heater.

Host met us on arrival and provided daily boat taxi which was needed to obtain groceries and for buying drinking water that was very expensive. Unique home on water but well used, swimming was great but coral reef almost dead. Home well furnished but not comfortable due to lack of proper screening on windows and significant bug issue that disturbed comfort, causing bites, scratching and if sheets bloodied, house rules indicated would have to pay for replacement. Owner available but not on location. Many windows and doors but difficult to operate due to lack of handles and misalignment. Wifi was good.

Solar energy system needs to be expanded so more ventilation fans can be installed to improve comfort level other than just bedrooms. Sheets worn and too small for bed. For week stay, no regular cleaning and only towels changed after 3 days. Noted that previous critical reviews found to be removed from booking site. Provided with extensive damage fee replacement list which we found excessive. We are well travelled mature adults and find the high rating for this property to be surprising.

It's a beautiful place, with lots of sealife to watch, and I could hear tropical birds and howler monkeys every morning. The water was so clear, and there was coral behind the house. The coral growing on the stilts of house was more colorful. There were snorkel gear provided at the house, but we didn't use those as we brought our own. Snokeling and kayaking are definitely the best activities at this location. I mostly enjoy just laying in the hammock after sunrise in this peacefulness on the front deck. Poli was very hospitable, and offers to communicate on Whatsapp. Juan doesn't speak English, but we saw him every day to provide whatever we request.

Cons: mosquitoes and no see ums. We were bitten alive at night. Even with the windows close and with the mosquitoes net down, they were still getting to us while we sleep. So it was conflicting between closing the windows to reduce bugs from coming in, or open the windows for the cool breeze. It does get stuffy with the windows closed. Another issue we had was no consistancy with shower temp, it either is too hot or mostly cool. Never were we able to get and keep a warm shower. As city person, I lay awake very uncomfortable (especially the first night) knowing the windows are all open. Just unsettling where anyone or thing could climb into the house. This was something that I needed to adjust to. The coral behind the house near the shore seems broken up and grey/brown. Lastly, Bocas sewage system cannot handle toilet paper, you will have to remember to throw all paper in the trash.
