Great location to explore the city. I booked it because of its walking distance to university we were visiting. Ended up walking all over center. Spacious, clean and nicely designed rooms. Staff was super helpful, kind and communicative.

Everything was adorable! The staff, the apartment, the location! Very clean and very good communication with the reception! Beds were very comfortable. The apartment was modern and comfortable too!

Beautiful spacious apartment, nice kitchen living area. Sun blinds and shutters on the window are very effective. All staff were lovely friendly and helpful.

Only one mirror in the whole apartment, in the bathroom! Needed a mirror in the bedroom, too.

The rooms were excellent, spacious, well appointed and comfortable, especially the king sized bed. Also, a very lmpressive shower. The location was ideal for reaching the historical part of the old town, and also a pleasant walk through the park to the railway station. The staff were mostly helpful and friendly.

The main dislike was the traffic noise in room 43. This carried on until nearly midnight and started again around 6a.m. We rarely managed a decent nights sleep as we faced onto the main road with buses, motorbikes and cars causing a constant noise. We requested to be moved to a quieter room but there were none available.

No staff on site from my arrival 6 pm Saturday till 9 pm Monday so had to be emailed instructions for entry. No breakfast available.

It was quiet in our balcony room overlooking the courtyard. Also - comfortable bed, good bathroom, obliging staff.

Minimalist decor was rather institutional feeling, particularly the painted concrete floor with no rugs. No tissues, no milk and a charge for coffee.

Nice cleand and spacy room - minimalistic and modern layout but still with a cosy atmosphere. A nice room to get back to.

Street is a bit noisy in the morning but earplugs was supplied :-) I guess you can opt for a room to the courtyard if you want it more quiet.

Room facilities

The apartment was spacious, modern, and well-equipped. Instructions to use all white goods and the climatisation system were provided both in English and Italian. The shower was quite big and the bed very comfortable. All the main sights of Bologna are reachable by a 5 to 10 minutes walk.

As mentioned in other reviews, some apartments have windows to a street with lots of car traffic. I have to imagine that when the building was refurbished, the best techniques to soundproof the apartments were not used. Therefore, one can hear car traffic (and other guests) while in bed. The management provides earplugs, which we used, and mostly solved the problem. It's a pity a bigger investment was not made to address this issue, as it diminishes the quality of the experience. However, if one is OK with using earplugs, it's simply a minor inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay at Almarossa! Everything is great, the staff is super friendly and polite. They also booked us a private car for the airport because we were flying early in the morning. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Our room was tidied everyday but they waited until we left the room. We’re not seen in the hallways either. I loved our common area so the 4 of us had a place to have our coffee and glass of wine and could talk and make plans for the next day.

Air conditioning, or lack of air. Our unit wouldn’t work because the sensor on the window in our room was messed up so it communicated to the air unit the window was open so air would not come on. We opened the windows when we could. Couldn’t at night because too much traffic and people noise.

All was fine except the reception regulation. We were not aware that the reception is closed on sundays thus maybe some points you should take care if you book this hotel: 1) During checkout we'd like to order a taxi with the help of the reception around 2pm but we've seen the reception is closed. We saw a note on the window saying we can call a taxi under this number +39051519090. we thougt this is a regular taxi company but once the car came it was not a normal taxi it was a car without any Taxi sign. We were wondering but ok the driver took us to the airport and arriving there he said 40 Euros!!! We were quite surprised cause at arrival we paid for the taxi from airport to the hotel 18,70 Euros!! He told us the double and starting complaining and saying 'Almarossa on board partnership' he showed us the fee list which they had with Almarossa and it was written 35 Euros which is still more then regular taxi! The note from the hotel is pretty misleading as it is not a regular taxi company. If we would have known that we would have ordered uber or regular taxi and we really felt duped. 2) the luggage room is not equiped with enough lockers. We had luck we found free lockers but people coming after us needed to leave their luggages unlocked in the laundry room. maybe some more had to take the luggage with them. A closed reception with this restrictions is not comfortable.

the location was perfect and the room was very clean

the welcoming of the staff in the reception. she mostly explained the fees i have to pay additionally instead of even asking if i need any recommendation to enjoy the city or i have any question. i can not say she was irrespective but it was very weird to be welcomed like that. also, the taxi they partnered with tried to charge us double vs regular taxi.
