We have stayed at the Islander many times. This unit was very clean and welcoming. Great view, too. Comfortable bed, though the pillows were rather large for our tastes. The management was responsive and really liked the towel exchange, as we stayed 3 weeks. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

Clean, gorgeous views and landscaping. Fun bar. Nice sized room & bathroom. AC, no bugs, WIFI. Only minor issues...very small kitchen area & frig. Not enough electrical outlets to plug in electronics. Had to disconnect and reconnect various appliances. Overall...5 star & we would do it again.

We were greeted by a clean room with a lovely view. Every morning we watched the sunrise from the lanai. Conveniently located next to Coconut Marketplace which has shops and restaurants. Note that you have to walk up to the third floor, but that helps work off the Jojo’s Shave Ice that you must try.

This space was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The view was spectacular and we truly enjoyed our time on the lanai. Thank you for a wonderful space to come and relax and rejuvenate.

Overall this was a great place to stay especially if you are looking for reasonable place because you will be out on the island more than you will be in the condo. It worked perfectly for us. The coconut market is pricey, but you can walk to it within minutes. There is a little stip mall as well with a couple restaurants, coffee shop, tattoo shop and a kayak adventure tour. There is an italian restaurant there that has the best pasta. I highly recommend. lava lava next door is a cool atmosphere too. The little souvenier shops at coconut marcket are reasonable and the shaved ice is great as well. Because the AC wasn't working properly, we bought a box fan for 30 bucks at Walmart. Once the AC was fixed, the place stayed fairly comfortable. However, when you are getting yourself fixed up in the bathroom it gets hot, so I used the fan in there. I suggested they keep the fan for future guests to use. The beach chairs, umbrella and little cooler worked perfect the days on the beach and were super nice to have. The chairs have a little cooler pouch attached which was also convenient for sunglasses, small purse/wallet and keys. Hanalai beach South side is a perfect sandy, calm beach. Poi pu was a little rough but snorkling was nice, there is a little island you can snorkle to if you get there when the waves are calmer. Keoki Paradise on the North side was pricey but the atmospher was awesome. Pina colada served in a pinapple, yum yum. I also suggest the Kayak wailia tour with Kyle. This tour is through the jungle and over 6 miles total. 4 miles round trip kayaking and 2 miles round trip hiking to the falls. It's a moderate hike, over rocks, through the jungle, mud, river/stream, but super fun. We had such a great time and want to go back and will definitely recommend to family and friends. ALOHA

We loved this location for the beach, and the resort amenities (hot tub, pool, and pool-side bar). It's also walking distance to many great restaurants and shops, as well as fun things to do. We had a wonderful stay at this unit in particular and would definitely come back!

Everything was lovely! Clean and conveniently located.

This room was what we had expected as we have stayed at the Islander twice before. However this was our first Vacasa booking and the perks like chocolates, cookies and macadamia nuts were great, soaps were provided too and it was so great to have the option to receive clean towels three times a week by just leaving the old ones in a provided bag outside the door. Nice to have beach chairs and a beach umbrella included. King bed very comfortable. Reponse to email was quite quick when we had some TV questions.

We found this property to be centrally located and convenient. It was great having the marketplace and restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed the pool and the bar! The accommodations were clean and comfortable and we will stay again if we head back to Kauai!

This property was a great choice. It was clean, had great views and a few extras. We didn’t use them but it had chairs for the beach, an umbrella and boogie boards. We did use the beach towels! Loved that it was walking distance to the ABC store and food. Nice central location for activities. Thank you for a great time! On a side note I’m not sure if the owners are aware but the toilet kept filling every so often so not sure if there was a leaking valve. Didn’t bother us though. We have stayed at The Islander on The Beach many times and always love it. The views are wonderful, it is centrally located on Kauai, and you can hear the waves from the lani. Loved the beach equipment provided to enjoy our trips around the island. Kauai is an amazing place to visit and the islander makes it affordable with water views. You can find nicer resorts on Kauai, but this rental is great `bang for the buck,` especially when exploring the island all day. The property is mid-way between the north and south coasts, making it convenient to all locations. Plenty of restaurants and shops within either walking or short driving distance. A nearby Safeway sells fresh fish which you can cook yourself on one of the resort`s pool-side natural gas grills. Be sure to have a `white-noise` app on your phone to help drown out rooster crowing early each morning. I highly recommend purchasing the Shaka Guide Kaui app ($30 for four distinct island self-guided tours). It`s well worth the cost for great guidance and information around Kauai. The property comes with 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, and snorkel equipment so that you can trek to any of the many beaches on the island. Having a lanai with table and chairs along with an ocean view was really nice. The room`s small refrigerator, microwave, and toaster came in handy. The room was just like the pictures showed.The room was nice and had a lot of useful things in the kitchen. The silverware and cooking utensils were located in two drawers under the sink area, I don’t know that I would have found them if someone haven’t told me.The bed was very comfortable, The view from the lanai was beautiful. The barbecues around the pool worked wonderfully, you just had to know that the gas valves were in the bushes where you couldn’t see them.The coconut market had lots of wonderful restaurants in the shops and was just a short walk from the condo. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant most of all. Looking forward to going down next year and hoping to get that same unit. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for all your day trips, and close to the river! We loved the marketplace, good eats and drinks, abc store, and shops. Bonus, there is a coffee shop right out the front door with yummy flavors and treats. The condo was clean and had wonderful views. The beach gear came in handy! My fiancé and I were there for 6 days and we could not use the laundry facility which was a bummer. They said we were not part of the “hotel”. Also for a long stay like ours....providing extra garbage bags and paper towels would have of been nice. Bed needs new pillows and the floor needs rugs;) other than that, it was perfect for a couple! Listed as described. Great views from 3rd floor balcony. Pool and pool bar were a nice treat. Room size was adequate as described and pictured. Do not expect a 5 star hotel room, it is an older condo that is well kept and loaded with plenty of beach accessories. Pleasantly surprised by the room. Bed was very comfortable, fast internet and lots of additional amenities such as snorkel gear, beach chairs and boogie boards. Very clean and convenient room w lanai. Handicapped accessible although it was not needed. Size is adequate for 2 night stay. Beds were comfortable. Plates, cups, glasses, utensils were conveniently available. Knives could use som sharpening. Room temperature was perfect Inclusion of beach chairs, towels and boogie board is a plus. TV was hard to operate and no instructions were provided. Welcome goodies were appreciated. Thank you.

This property is on the beach (the unit a few minutes to walk to the beach/pool/bar), central to all locations Kauai, close to a wonderful shopping area full of restaurants, gift shops and groceries. The room itself is VERY basic, nothing fancy. The sliding door to the deck is a very hard to slide to open, but that was really the only down side!

Conveniently located. Unit worked for us since mainly there only to sleep. Bathroom musty smelling but expected in Hawaii. It's also a handicap shower so don't expect to take a bath. Good unit to stay!

We had a nice stay at this property. It's part of a resort and walking distance to the beach as well as a shopping area with restaurants, shaved ice, and stores which was a big plus. The room itself is pretty standard with two beds and a full bath. It was clean so no complaints.

Love the condo for its proximity, amenities, and nearby Coconut marketplace shops. Bed was comfortable. Grounds are tropical and well kept. Great views of the ocean and waves from the third story balcony. Relaxing pool and tiki style pool bar! Unfortunately no laundry available, but nearby laundrymats. Parking gets a bit crowded on certain days. Overall great stay!!

Unfortunately there was black mold found and musky smell. Seems like this room needs a deep cleaning. The location of this hotel will bring people in every time but just a little more effort in cleaning is a must!
