The receptionist Indira made our stay so enjoyable by making sure we got everything we needed. Excellent customer care!

Check in was easy, room 202 is big, the small heater in the corner doesnt really warm the room, so a bit on the cold side. Windows could do with soundproofing as the sound from outside is very audible, didnt really bother us but my bother others.
Bathroom is well equipped and large with underfloor heating.
The full Lock & Key full breakfast is delicious and worh every penny.
The hotel is situated perfectly, 2 minutes from Liverpool One shopping area, 2 minutes from the Albert docks and 15 minutes from the Empire Theatre.

Pros: Friendly staff, comfy rooms, amazing location very central.
Cons b: noise issues from party-goers who kept me awake for one hour in the night, I know it's not the hotels fault but maybe they can ask guests to be quiet after a certain time or not let young groups all stay in one room
No lift and shower is open so wets the entire bathroom

Really nice stay for one night to visit family in Liverpool. Overall, the hotel offered exceptional value for money and I'd not hesitate to return in future.

Booked 2 rooms for 1 night. My mother is disabled and the hotel were not able to offer a ground floor room. They also have no lift and no accessibility measures in place at all. My room was on the top floor and smells really badly of dame, so much so that its saturated all of my cloths for days, even after they had been washed. As the hotel weren't able to offer an alternative room for a disabled woman, unlkly that they would have a replacement for a damp room so i didn't ask, we had also arrived late in the day and were there only 1 night for a funeral. I don't know who has written all of the reviews for this hotel but my experience was not good at all. Even without the damp and accessibility issues, the rooms were nicely decorated but average at best. Had a kettle but nowhere to plug it in and a leaky shower. Id give this place a miss.

The location is good and the staff are friendly. The decor is nice but tired. The shower ran cold and tv didn’t work. The windows looked out onto brick walls. It’s fine for one nights stay.

I think this is the best bed I’ve ever slept in!

I was a little disappointed, given the previous reviews and Sunday Times recommendation. Staff were extremely friendly and the room was clean and bed very comfortable. However the condition of the room, particularly the bathroom, was a little tired. Also, the sink in the bathroom was ridiculously small and shower screen inadequate, so that the floor became flooded after use.

Lovely stay but could do with putting the prices on the breakfast menu so that you don't get a shock when you pay.

Hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff very helpful. The location was very central but this did make it noisy as it was on quite a main road and the glazing and curtains did nothing to dampen the noise. If you book here, bring ear plugs, especially on bin days.
Also the en-suite door didn't close fully and having a shower flooded the whole en-suite which is probably why the door didn't fit as there was a lot of water damage to it.

We had a two night stay in this hotel , it was all really nice, a lovely cosy bar and so close to everything, staff were lovely , I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was to return to Liverpool which hopefully I will 🙏

The hotel's location near the main train stations, Liverpool One shopping district, and the university is convenient.
The room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a small desk for working travellers. Although there was no iron or board in the room, the staff promptly provided one upon request.
The bar, which also serves breakfast, offers a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast was a la carte and of good quality.
The hotel's conversion from an older industrial building gives it character but will present accessibility challenges for some guests. Additionally, there was some noise, but it wasn't a major issue.
The staff stood out for their exceptional helpfulness and friendliness.

Great hotel great breakfast great service the bar boutique is excellent the service in there is fantastic the rooms are great easy access to Liverpool and parking just round the corner is so easy to get to the hotel with your luggage

I booked a smaller room than usual, and was worried the bed wouldn’t be big enough (I’m a pretty big guy, and I was sharing with my wife). It was bigger than it looked, and we had a great sleep at the end of a great night. The bar makes an amazing Tiramisu Espresso Martini, too.

What a little diamond of a hotel, very friendly staff really clean and room 303 was very spacious with everything you need. Very good breakfast selection off a menu from a full English to omelette to a bowl of granola, bar was small but quaint and ideal to have a nice drink in the evening. Public parking just round the corner that I got a discount on from the hotel and could walk to all the sightseeing attractions in Liverpool, highly recommend

Nicely decorated room with everything we could ever possibly need. Huge Bed in a very spacious room. Staff brilliant as always and couldn’t do enough for us.

Absolutely loved this hotel, such a great vibe. Outstanding customer care, nothing is too much trouble and you are really made to feel welcome. Very modern and loved our room 201 it was stunning, the bed was out of this world. Ok the bathroom well I say cupboard is not good but the room it’s self makes up for it as it was huge and just simple stunning. Will definitely return.

This hotel is an absolute necessity to anyone’s itinerary in Liverpool. A complete reflection of the community, authentic and clean i will be back specifically because of this hotel. Cannot beat the convenience of this location. Only used Uber from the train station and to the hotel everything you need to see from the Beatles to Albert Docks and shopping are within steps of this property. Thank you again.

The staffs were super friendly and accommodating, made us feel very welcomed. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. Really comfy bed and excellent shower. Excellent location just next to Liverpool One, bus and rail stations are of walking distance. Next time when I am in town I’ll definitely be staying in this hotel again.

Our stay at Lock and Key was incredible. Right in the middle of the city centre so no need for an Uber or taxi. Luke was very kind to help assist us in getting medical attention when we arrived with a small emergency. Very kind and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend staying here and would return in the future!

Lock and Key is in a wonderful spot to do all the city tours and Liverpool One is across the road but you don’t hear any city noises x quirky rooms and wonderful staff x the room was hot due to the weather but the staff did everything they could to make it better for us, they went above and beyond x highly recommend x
