The sunset was beautiful here.
We felt deceived by Sunset at Las Cabanas overall and there were several things that we did not appreciate about it. First, in the pictures on booking, it shows a pool but the pool belongs to the resort called Las Cabanas next door (a different resort). Also, this was not a full service resort as expected. It was a bar with a couple cabana rooms they rent behind the bar. The bar was directed at the mobs of people that come to see the sunset not the few of us renting the rooms. The bar was closed in the mornings so when we woke it was like a ghost town with no people around (not in a good way). They outsourced their breakfast to the resort next door which was very limited without juice and the worst coffee you had to fill up from a big thermos (hard for me to do). Also, Las Cabanas beach is not a swimming beach (too shallow) and to swim you had to walk 10 minutes to Vanilla Beach. The resort was more than a 10 minute walk from the road so very inconvenient for us. We stayed at much better hotels/resorts in the El Nido peninsula and I would not recommend Sunset by Las Cabanas (not to be confused with the Las Cabanas resort next door). If you want to stay on a nice beach near El Nido town, stay at Lio beach which is wonderful.

The room is aesthetically nice and clean. The view outside is also super nice.
They only have 2 power plug sockets in the room. And they were already preoccupied by electric fan and bed-side lamp. With the price we pay per night, I expected a little bit "extra". But there were not even complimentary bottled waters or welcome drinks.

One of the best location in el nido. I love that the cabanas are in front of the water

The tranquility and calmness of the place are quite unique. It is ideal to spend some relaxing time.
I loved that you have to walk on the beach to reach the road and thanks to the hotel guys for helping us with our bags
Massage on the beach for an affordable price and nice small outside restaurant

A good spot to relax and watch the sunset
The place is quiet and beautiful. Will definitely recommend.
An island vibe feels.
The only down side was, the location was far and no other entrance to get to the resort but a long walk to the beach. And the water in the shower room was slow and the heater was not hot enough. Over all it was great.

The view and the ambiance
Breakfast was at a Las cabanas and the kitchen service was super slow

It’s right on the beach where you can watch the beautiful sunset. The bungalow is amazing and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious!
The only downside is that you have to walk around 10 min on the beach since the tricycle can’t leave you in front of the hotel. But the staff will assist you with the luggage.

Watching the sunset
1) No hot water in shower / bathroom
2) We found hair on our bed, and flying cockroach
3) The 4 pillows in the room were dirty
4) They have Wifi but it was so bad all the time
5) Power cut off is something normal, its bad when its happens during sleep time as emergency light will light up and its pretty annoying
6) Its sad to pay 150$ in a hotel and during breakfast you have only one cup of tea or coffee and one order of bread (can you imagine)

The location was perfect for the stunning sunset and we had a hut right at the beach :)!
