You might shop at the weekly local market for fresh ingredients, and whip up Breton pancakes or pork rillettes. Outside, the enclosed garden is delightful in the afternoon. Soak up the sunshine on a sun lounger, or gather around the table for snacks and a chilled glass of wine. The south-facing terrace is perfect in the early evening, when the sun is starting to dip in the sky. It takes just fifteen minutes by car to reach some of Brittany’s nicest beaches – pack a picnic and make a day of it. You might also take a day-trip to Pont-Aven – the famous painters’ village is just twenty minutes away.
