Room size was not adequate so was bathroom which was very compressed. I would not book again except for across from railway station.

The hotel is dated but my room was clean and comfy and there was a good breakfast buffet.

Outdated rooms. Windows were cracked and broken. Badly in need of renovation and mordernisation. No switches for chargers near the bed. Only the lobby looks new but the rooms are old dark stuffy

First room I had originally booked with lakeside view had bugs. They showed me 2 other rooms on the same floor. 1 was very dirty and also had bugs. other room was better, but bathroom had a strong chemical smell that staff told me was cleaning products but it was not. Cooked breakfast items like eggs were cold. Stay away from this "hotel" if you can.

A beautiful location, but there has been no apparent investment in this hotel in decades. This hotel seems to function as a stop for low cost tours of Norway. The staff perform when asked and they are freindly, but are not at all proactive.

Great front desk staff. The hotel is dated and not maintained. We were on the fourth floor. Great view but the room was brutally hot, the window opened up about 10cm, and the fan was a tiny desk fan. Us and others propped open the room door with a chair to try to get a cross breeze but it barely helped. The elevator also broke and was out more than 24 hours and not fixed when we left. Luckily we can handle stairs and packed light. The restaurant staff was ok, but one night we wanted to grab a drink and just a desert. They had a tour group eating and apparently could not deal with the three of us ordering just this so we were a bit frustrated. The breakfast buffet is good. The location is ideal and beautiful. This could be a 5 star property with an investment and upgrades but it’s 2 to 2.5 stars at best.

Restraunt was very good as was the free breakfast. Hotel was definitely not worth the price. Rooms were very warm and the only way to cool them down was to leave a door going to an outside patio open. Bathroom was the size of a shower. The room itself was also crowded.

Very disgusting dirty bathrooms. The curtain bar is secured with just tension mounts and fell down on top of me while I was showering. I also found 5 long pieces of hair stuck to the walls of the standing tub. I walked down to the front desk to let the night staff know and they didn't do anything. I told the manager while checking out and they just said sorry and nothing else.

it was excellent

We had chosen a lake view room which had wall to wall windows and certainly had a great view. The wardrobe had a rail and shelves but no door. A safe would have been useful. When we arrived the hotel had two bookings in my name. We were given no details about breakfast time or location and almost missed breakfast on Monday which finished earlier than the weekend. There was information in the room. It was extremely hot and we were grateful to have a fan in the room. During the night it was very noisy with tourists crossing the car park. We ate in Cafe Stationen which had been extremely busy that day and had no Coke original and had reduced the choices on the menu.

Interesting throwback to an earlier era in decor, but excellent lakefront location near train station. Spacious, comfortable room and excellent included breakfast. The hotel feels like a ski resort from the 70s with dark wood and lots of underutilised spaces. The focus now seems to be on its wine credentials, but we didn't sample that aspect.

Very nice and service minded staff. The rooms in the oldest part do of course need an upgrade, but you have a very good value for money in this hotel.

Park Hotel has a lot of rooms, a great location on the lake with lovely views, and free parking. It’s almost like a step back into the sixties/seventies…the carpet, walls, light fixtures, and furniture are all very dated and over used. Only the disco ball was missing. Breakfast was okay to good, although crowded as it seems like a lot of bus tours roll through here. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The tub was old and somewhat permanently stained. There was no place to put your opened suitcase, although the room did have a closet space with shelves and two extra pillows. It was generally quiet at the hotel except for Friday night karaoke at the bar/restaurant next door…able to nearly exclude the bad music by closing the windows but then it got a bit stuffy and warm in the room. Okay hotel but over priced.
