we couldn’t ever buy a bottle of water in the hotel, the bar was closed the poolside bar was closed the snack bar was closed, not even a vending machine to buy water, the rooms where very dark

Apartment was very spacious. The whole property was exceptionally clean and tidy. Pool area was really lovely and relaxed. Not over crowded

Would have been nice to have some basics - like bottled water. We arrived very late with children so needed to go shopping early to get some basics

The thing that others wrote aboute the bugs is true. In the middle of the night we found a bug in the bedroom, and belive me it was bigger than it looks in the picture attached. The receptionist didn't take us seriously, and after almost an hour spent with him, he gave us another room. (without seaview although we paid for that). In the morning we told we want the rest of the money back and have the check-out right away. But they didn't seem to hurry and they also entered the room (before we would be able to take our luggages and leave) although we said we do not want someone to do that. You should know that they ask for a 100euros/person cash deposit that was very hard to get back when we had the check-out. They told us to return after 4 pm in order to receive our money. But in the end, after 1 hour of negotiations they refund us faster. The second aspect is that they do not have extensible sofas as they described. Another bad thing is the toilet lid. How did they think you could sit on that? And the cleaning in the room...You can see yourself in the photos below.

It was close enough to walk into the old town and was in a quiet area with easy access to the main road. Apartment was a little dated but spacious, clean & comfortable. The pool area was relaxing and the pool was a good size. If you didn’t want to eat in the old town there were a few restaurants & cafes nearby.

No air conditioning.

Rooms were big and great view ! Location was at the heart of everything so ideal as well and quite area.

The location is good, quiet with only a 10 minute walk to the escalators that take you down to the old town. Staff were very kind in arranging an early check in but late checkout was a no go. The rooms are dated but comfortable enough (it’s a 3 star)Theres a portable fan but no aircon. The room I was in was shaded though which kept it cool. No problem sleeping in early July. Some restaurants and cafes are close by.

Nothing that is significant if you are prepared for the holiday apartment style.

Staff are welcoming and friendly. Suite is very spacious and clean. Requests were dealt with very quickly. View is excellent.

we really enjoyed our stay.

In fact we enjoyed our stay at Almar. The furniture inside was not pretty nor particularly comfortable but our patio looking over the sea made the experience worthwhile. The pool was well maintained though some of the cushions were in disrepair. The kitchen was modern and functional

There was no dish soap for washing our dishes - which I found strange. There is a room off of the kitchen for washing clothes with an old sink and antiquated plumbing (no hot water) and, again kind of counterintuitively, no drying rack. The rack the staff gave us when we requested was rusty and dirty. The cable service for the television was terrible, almost no channels available except sports and news.
