charming historical building & good location in old lyon, cute Cat manger, friendly & nice staff!
lack of lights in bedroom;
no bath”room”, only bathtub, inconvenient;
maybe our room is 2F(no idea coz maybe the cheapest option ? urgent booking, didn’t check detail), only one window next the bathtub, no other window;
taxi&Uber cannot drop off at front of hotel, taxi need permit or ask hotel to help to call taxi, a little bit inconvenient

Historical building on a great street in old Lyon.
The guest rooms were terribly run-down, dark, and awkward.
3.5 / 5.0
The antique palace feel of the room was good. The eventual room we stayed in was bright and quiet despite being in a prime tourist area.
The first room had a musty smell which they could not get rid of, it was loud and it had no outside window. They said the smell was a problem they had in some of their rooms and cleaning did not get rid of it. Be wary of the room you get, some of them are really not great. They moved us because the smell in the first room was over whelming. But they did this after we stayed in that room for a night - to be fair they would have moved us before but they were full and the only other room they had to offer us was smaller and had a bathtub right next to the bed. Neither the first room or the second room we stayed in had a proper shower. You have to choose between a room with a shower or a room with a bath unless you upgrade. All the fixtures are dated. And in both rooms there were steps into and out of the bathroom. The whole place needs refurbishment to get to more modern standards. The antique feel does not need to mean antique plumbing, heating and electricity.

Location is good, in the heart of the old city
The staff is excellent and trying to help
The toilets are horrible and the smell is disgusting
We weren’t informed that the shower and the bath are in the middle of the room, it doesn’t appear in the room description. We wouldn’t take this room if we knew
The rooms were within a corridor with almost no light. To open the door with a key (not a card!!) was a challenge without seeing anything.
Why not to use modern card instead of heavy key with the name of the hotel and the room number?? Not very secured if you loose your key

Best location in the old town. Old historic building. Decent breakfast.
The room was dark and dungeony, smelled old. Tiny shower, moldy around the tile outside the shower. Expensive water bottle and minibar. The other 5 star hotels we stayed at in France supplied at least a couple free water bottles each day and even free snacks and minibar with free soft drinks. $39 for parking was high too.

Great breakfast and location.
Room wasn't well maintained. Curtains were falling off top. Shower was nearly nonexistent. Very dark

The Concierge was exceptional especially Jean-Phillipe who went out of his way to ensure that our stay was perfect. If I can ever afford a butler, I will offer him the job first!
Sad the restaurant washy open - if it was anything like the staff it would have been a treat

I booked this trip as a birthday treat for my daughter and her partner. The hotel could not have done better - little cake and upgrade on arrival. They were treated like royalty all weekend. Had the best time in a fabulous hotel.

Beautifully appointed historic building in good location in the heart of the old town .
It's stuffy and lacks atmosphere . The duplex room is narrow and dark , with a creaky stair to a mezzanine bed overhead the bathroom , and corridor entrance . The receptionist never came back to me about getting a table in the attached bistro ,luckily there's plenty of alternatives nearby

location ; direct access from the room to a back yard to take the dog out for a quick sniff around; excellent staff; superb restaurant; pool has a counter current swimming feature

The room was truly one of a kind, located in an ancient building, actually four properties joined with an enclosed courtyard. The theme of our room is art and it consisted of easels, canvases, pallets of paint. It was on two stories (I paid extra for a suite) and very funky. You have to like that type of thing and when they showed it to us, gave the option of choosing another room...just in case. It was so unique that we took it.
The location in the old town was perfect.
Helpful consierge service.
The bedroom was on the top floor, the sink and shower a few steps down and the toilet on the main floor. So again, you really had to want the unusual atmosphere to accept those inconveniences, plus as as I said, there were room options which we did not pursue. But we liked it.

Exceptional service, everything was on point, great breakfast, amazing location, would definitely go again!
We visited during a heatwave and the A/C was not strong enough to cope, we weren't boiling, but I would have like a slightly stronger A/C

Nice location. In the old town.
Getting there the GPS doesn't take you to the entrance. We called the hotel and they guided us to the entrance. There is no parking outside but valet parking takes your car to a parking after you have unloaded your luggage at the entrance.
Breakfast was excellent with a great selection and extremely friendly and nice staff.
