I stayed here many years ago with my parents when it was a 5 star hotel. It was sad to see it so worn out looking, carpets in the bedrooms were stained and gross. There was never anyone in the reception, we had to always go and look for someone.

The hotel is located in the main square of Auch, right to the city hall, perfect location. There is a parking close by. The hotel has a classic decor but it is renovated. The room we stayed was big and very confortable.

The staff went above and beyond for us. Cannot thank them enough for a wonderful stay. We were really concerned we would not arrive from Toulouse airport until late, and the reception very kindly waited late for us to arrive. The hotel is located right in the centre of town beside lots of wonderful restaurants and bars.

Nothing - we will be back to stay here again.

Great location

The bedbugs were a let down. Woke up with 9 bites on face & body. They moved us to a different room and didn’t charge us for the two nights once they identified that there were indeed bedbugs Found it really hard to get a room with a shower - is it really that difficult to have showers in bathrooms these days? Hotel completely stuck in the past - avoid.

The receptionist was so friendly even insisted on helping with luggage. The location was excellent walking distance to everything. Lovely old building a little tired in places but none the less we enjoyed our stopover. Very pleasant girl serving breakfast. Room was clean as was the bathroom.

Very poor front of house and very lax front of house management. On Friday 9th we left the hotel at about 10 am and left our room key in the key tray provided. Reception was maned and we expected the key to be stored. At 11.30 am my wife returned to the hotel to change her clothing. The room key was still in the tray and reception was unmanned. Anyone could have taken the key and accessed our room. Very poor.

This was during lockdown so the restaurants were closed, however, a hotel that prides itself on its cuisine could have made much more of room service, a microwave to reheat the main meal was a disappointment. The rooms are strange in a bad way, I was initially given a tiny predominantly black coloured room (40) with an ugly mural, it had a ridiculous small table (black) measuring 1 x 2 feet at the most. Impossible to work on or eat lockdown meals on and the tiniest TV I have ever seen. I changed rooms (21) to a bizarre much larger room with a tangle of wooden beams separating the bedroom from the salon, his and hers bathroom with a sunken bath and a mirror ceiling, no shower. The wifi was supposed to work but didn't and the signal was weak and intermittent. A disaster of a hotel, smelly and very creepy - good for Halloween only!

Hotels as poor as this were prolific 30 or so years ago, but clearly this establishment is stuck in the past. This place should be better described a boarding house, not a hotel.
