Beautiful place. Stunning views, gorgeous walks from the doorstep, comfortable house with beautiful furnishings. Details in the house are superb: gorgeous bedding, lovely pottery, sharp knives, well stocked kitchen -- excellent attention to form and functional.

Great cliff top House
We had an idyllic week at Chy Barnett , wonderful isolated situation with amazing views of the sea . We loved scrambling down to quiet Treen Beach to swim saw dolphins, seals & the choughs were above on the cliffs . Also it is so near the South West coastal path (Salt Path)which we used to walk to the Tinners Pub in Zennor …. so nice .We loved the property & Rupert was so helpful with information & returning a jacket we had left !!! We certainly hope to come back & enjoy this house again.

I daren’t say too much…
Rupert the owner was terrific in ensuring we had every but of information before and during our stay. The location of the house is truly jaw dropping. Absolutely fell in love with it.

Location, location, location
This property is in the absolute best location. Overlooking sea, amazing coastal paths at your doorstep, the fabulous Gurnards Head restaurant in short walking distance. The property itself is simply furnished, but has really good quality finishing touchers i.e. good beds, bedding and towels (the white company); well equiped kitchen, etc etc. It is twixted between St Ives and Penzance, with everything you need a short drive away. A really excellent holiday vacation home.

Fab!!!
We love Chy Barnet, and have stayed there quite a few times over the years - would have stayed there more but it’s always booked up! It’s in a stunning bit of Cornwall and has amazing sea views from nearly every room. Fabulous hikes straight from the door. The coast path is a few minutes walk down the track, and more hikes into moorland etc up the track.
The house itself is warm, clean, bright and comfortable with everything you need, and the owner is very helpful if you have any problems during your stay.
There’s a good pub/ restaurant up at the end of the track, and another good pub, and recently a Moomaid of Zennor ice cream (best ice cream ever!) and tea shop, in Zennor which is just a few miles away.
Love love love this place! Would really recommend booking if it’s free - just don’t book it when we want it!!

Amazing house in a stunning location
This really is a fantastic house in a truly marvellous location. All you need for a superb holiday in Cornwall, close to so many great parts of the county but a nice secluded place to get away from it all. The first of many stays for us here I'm sure!

Extraordinary beauty
It’s impossible to sum up how special this house is, set up on the cliffs with magnificent views from the windows. The house itself is a home from home, with all the comforts and special welcoming touches. Wonderful!

Exactly what it says on the tin - 5 stars
Really well appointed in a fabulous location.- 5 minute walk to the Coastal Path in one direction and 5 minute walk to the pub in the other. Despite the time of year and howling gales the cottage is really warm and cosy, but spacious at the same time. The bedding and linen deserve special mention - very nice quality. Met the housekeeper both in and outbound, who was really welcoming. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - at any time of the year. 5 stars across the board

Fabulous time in stormy Cornwall tucked up in our cosy, clean house with best views ever.

Pleasant cottage in outstanding position
This is a comfortable, reasonably equipped property, in the most amazing position on the north Cornish coast. We experienced fairly relentless winter gales accompanied by a couple of power outages but with good central heating and a wood burner, stayed nice and warm. Comfortable seating and kitchen fine, our two niggles are that the upstairs shower is really very underpowered (good bath though!) and it would be nice to have the woodburner in the sitting rather than dining room. The wind prevented us walking as much as we would have liked but with the St Ives and other galleries plus the excellent Gurnard's Head Inn five minutes walk at the top of the lane, this was a most enjoyable place for pre-Christmas break.

Highly recommended!
A great house to stay in - wonderful views and beautifully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds with good quality bedding. The house was spotlessly clean and it was a treat to find some Cornish goodies on our arrival, along with a bottle of wine in the fridge. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing place to stay.

Stunning views, beautiful cottage
Everything provided including full set of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment, towels, good quality bedding, lots of places to sit and make the most of the views, scones, jam, cream, milk.., I could go on!
The cottage was a great size for us as a family of five, with two adults, two teenagers and a little one.
Beautiful location. We enjoyed the views, walking down to the ruins and the cove, and picking blackberries on the lane.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful week at Chy Barnett
We spent a wonderful week at the Chy Barnett cottage. The cottage is well appointed with fantastic views over the ocean and a great base for our family holiday in Cornwall. We highly recommend the Tinners Arms in nearby Zennor for great meals.

Beautiful views & relaxing!
A really relaxing location with amazing views & excellent communication from the owner when needed. Clean & well equipped, kids loved the garden & really safe area to let them play. Treats on arrival.
Conservatory could do with being updated as we were unable to use due to condensation & damp.
Wet room was particularly handy from when returning from the beach. Convenient for chucking the kids in!
Rooms were a good size & the beds were comfortable.
Gurnards Head hotel is a great place for dining out, but book in advance to secure your table. 👍🏻
Would highly recommend & would definitely come back!

Best location ever!
I cannot say enough great things about this property and it’s location. If you’re looking to get away from it all’ and enjoy a clean, comfortable home with sensational views this is the place. Also Rupert the owner couldn’t have been nicer to deal with and made sure we had milk, tea, fresh bread and a delicious cream tea on our arrival. We were so sad to leave and will definitely return!

Relaxing
Fantastic house with a stunning view over the Atlantic. An ideal place to de-stress and relax, listen to the wind and the waves, venture out for an exciting walk along the coast to Zennor , having a pint in the Tinners Arm or exploring nearby beautiful St. Ives. Will be definitely coming back for a summer vacation.

Really lovely place in an incredible location
The house is really well situated, lots of lovely walks and activities nearby even in the middle of winter. Lots of nice rooms and very cosy. We were unfortunate that the WiFi was broken and there is no signal, so if you need to work or can’t face a digital detox then might make things tricky. Some very small niggles, not enough dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and bin bags - seems silly to mention but when shops are so far away it does make a difference. But overall we had a wonderful time and I would thoroughly recommend the place to any families or groups of people.

Another stunning stay at Chy Barnett
This is a spectacularly located rural and coastal home. Well appointed inside with stunning and ever-changing views from all the main rooms on upper and lower floor. Space inside is plentiful - including a robustly constructed conservatory which is great for quiet reading or family gathering when the weather's not too cold. The whole house oozes character and is probably best suited to those who really want to get away from it all or who are used to a rural lifestyle. Expect to be close to local wildlife and farm animals but remote from local shops and services. That said, the drives from Chy Barnett to St Ives or St Just are windingly beautiful, whilst a straighter route takes you to all the supermarkets and amenities of Penzance. The last few hundred metres of access to the house are by narrow farm tracks, concreted, but with grass centres...supercars and low-slung sports models need not apply. Close to the Cornish cliffs and metres from the coast, if all you want to hear at night is breaking waves, this is the place to be. Heaven!
