Amazing location in Óbidos, walkable to everything. Comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The location can't be beat.

The location is great. Very close to the City Gate od the medieval city, and to modern day public transportation. Clean. The bathtub is a godsend after walking up, down and around the walled city.

great hotel for the price. Modern interior design. really liked the design and decor of the room. very clean and great staff. really enjoyed the ambiance of the lounge bar. the the most important thing for us was the location. just great at the door of the castle so less than one minute walk to enter the walls and everything thing there is to see. strongly recommend.

excellent location just outside the fort entrance and the motor roadways to reach obidoes. Check in to check out experience perfect with free parking, excellent support. If you dont wanna stay inside the fort then its the number 1 place. RG

Its tucked in under the walls of Obidos near the main gate, very scenic. Good breakfast, parking was OK (you need a Navman to find it!), helpful staff.

The hotel had lovely facilities and ambience. Staff were friendly and helpful. An exceptionally beautiful tho touristy town.

Spent 2 nice days there, just after flying from US. Very convenient location. Bar downstairs has great hot chocolate!

Small enough to see town in a 2-3 hr visit. Nice history, old aqueduct. Hotel had good facilities and excellent breakfast included.

We got lost trying to find it (as the Sat Nav sent us to the wrong end of the street and they are all cobbled roads) but it's actually in a really easy to get to location (when you go the right way!). Just check you have a map to hand. Situated just outside the city walls so it's really easy to go in for dinner.

The only possible reservation we would have about this excellent hotel is the limited parking, but this was not a problem for us. The room was very comfortable and reception very helpful. The restaurant was closed when we were there but the town is 10 minutes away and there was plenty of choice there.

Overall it was a pleasant staying, rooms where nice and clean, the building is divided in two sections, an older a newer one, both very nice; breakfast was simple very it had a lot of different things to choose, nevertheless but I was extremely disappointed because with my reservation I was to pay 50 Euros and they charged me 60 on check out.

Is not worth the price. Breakfast poor and worst coffee. Room small and refrigerator noisy. TV set small with only connecting national channels. Wi-Fi only in the lobby and poor. Decoration ugly. Bathroom toilet dirty. Parking on the street and few spaces. Only good that is close to the old city. For a little more money find another place.

We booked a room for 3 nights in Albergaria Josefa d Obidos. excellent location. It is an old hotel but very well maintained. The rooms are spacious but the furniture is old and need a change, but is in good condition. The room and bathroom very clean. The bathroom itself is very uncomfortable, small and old. No internet service in the rooms, only in the lobby, which is not comfortable. Overall it was a good experience. Front desk staff very kind and helpful. Definitely well return to stay at this hotel.

What an wonderful experience, it's next to the walls of the castle, very charming, well done decorated and with awesome staff. I sure recommend it to families with kids, very quite place.

Beds are made of granite, the AC only works for 60 minutes before shutting off and having to be restarted.

A very long way by train getting to Obidos from Coibra. I strongly suggest trying to get a coach or car. I also think its easier to get to Obidos from the South. The Hotel was nice. Right in the middle to the old town of step roads and white houses etc. Lots of tourists shops/ restaurants etc. Beautiful views from the top of the high castle walls. You can walk around the top of the walls if your knees don't shake when up high. Our room was large and well appointed with opening windows onto a small courtyard below. Room a little dark and slightly musty but overall good. Hotel staff friendly and helpful as I had to get them to replace a damaged shower head. Only in Obidos for one night which is all that is required. Room rates average and breakfast okay

I've been visiting this area for around 8 years and the hotel is in an ideal spot for seeing Obidos and the other great towns in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is also worth a try, which is not something I would normally recommend at most hotels.

Very centrally located for the attractions of Obidos Castle etc. Hotel rooms comfortable but quite basic. Hotel although having a traditional portugese interior does look tired. Breakfast is very average and choice is limited. Car parking can be a problem as there is limited space outside of the Hotel and during events it can be difficult to find a place especially in an evening. Remember to keep your Booking in Card from the hotel handy so it can be shown if you park outside of the hotel and the card then identifies you as a guest. Good location but do not expect too much luxury.
