If you are going to Albi this is absolutely the best place to stay. First of all, it is an 18century mansion with the original furniture and tapestries, so it is incredibly beautiful and very interesting. But it is not so precious that one feels they can't sit down, as it is all very livable and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are all modern. We had the suite and I really recommend staying there for the full experience. The breakfast is beautifully presented on a large table-so nice for chatting with other quests. The bread was the best bread I tasted on this trip because it was from the local baker, not a bread that was pre-baked like a lot of B and B's do now. Maely, the owner, grew up in this mansion, and she was so kind and helpful with us. She made us dinner reservations and drove with us to and from the parking lot so we would not get lost. When my husband got sick, Maely insisted on driving us to a clinic herself because it can be very difficult navigating small french towns. Then she drove us around to locate the one pharmacy that was open on Sunday. Then I came down with what my husband had (not covid) and Maely took it upon herself to try and do everything to make us comfortable, making special lunches and dinners with soup choices, but never imposing. In the end, we left Albi without seeing the main attractions because we ran out of time. But I have a special feeling about Albi nonetheless, because of the amazing time we spent in his beautiful mansion in the company of a very kind host.

LaTour is a gem ...the mistress of the house is so charming and helpful.
The location is the best for the old city sites and is just steps away from the cathedral and the cuty center.
If you are traveling to Albi your stay at the
La Tour Sainte-Cecile will be a delight.

This is simply the nicest place I have ever stayed and I travel a lot. It is a uniquely beautiful chambres d'hotes that shows france at its most French and at its best. Each room it decorated and furnished with genuine antiques but with excellent attention to every modern comfort. Our hostess was friendly, helpful and very generous. The views of Albi cathedral from the bedrooms are stunning. Some rooms up turret stairs add to the experience of a stay at this wonderful place. Excellent value too and breakfast around the big table was another lovely experience. Our stay in Albi was really enhanced by our overnight at chambres d'hote La Tour St Cecile.
We loved everything.

Charming B&B right in the heart of the old city. Charming host, friendly and knowledgeable about the local region, a fountain of knowledge. Historic building, beautiful touches throughout. Since the location is unbeatable in the walking part of the historic center, one needs to park some distance away at one of the city parking lots. Several great restaurants nearby. Views of the historic buildings from some rooms of the B&B. I will never forget this amazing place of the great conversations with the host.
Everything was fine.

Beautiful, classy, sophisticated, close to everything - and the hostess is amazing. Experience of staying in a castle with the right to an “enchanted” tower

Wonderful location although a bit difficult to find. Find the car park first and then walk to the hotel. Lovely lady who greets you. Very nice accommodations. Walking distance to the cathedral and Lautrec museum.
We needed three days, not one, to be here.

This is a really special place to stay. It is simply stunning: sumptuously decorated and furnished but also very comfortable. The hostess is delightful - attentive and friendly but never obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tip for parking: use the cathedral car park. Some spaces at the top you have to pay for, but there are also many free spaces further down. Try to get a space near the brick steps as this is closest. All in all an excellent stay and we heartily recommend it.

It's hard to write a review of this place, since it really is exceptional, not like a normal hotel at all, so that some of the usual criteria just don't apply. It is converted from a house built in 1580. We stayed in the uppermost room, with truly amazing views on all sides, with flocks of pigeons randomly arriving and departing from the roof just above us. The image below, of the exterior, is a scan of a book cover. We never could have seen the place from that vantage. Note the tower with the oval windows, the stairway to upper rooms. One must be reasonably fit, neither too tall nor fat, to fit that stairway, designed for people of 1580. (See other image enclosed.) And you can't be very encumbered with luggage either, since all that will fit up and down with you is something about the size of a small airline carryon bag. (The other rooms are more readily accessible, and more vertically spacious.) The place overall is gorgeous, the breakfast very nice, and we enjoyed meeting fellow guests and the proprietor, Maely.
I really don't mean this as a criticism, since one cannot expect modern automotive age convenience in a 1580 house built in the heart of old Albi. But, if you are driving, parking is not so convenient. There is a large lot (I think it is Parking Cathedral de Albi, might appear in a GPS) which offers free parking a few minutes away, which is fine, though you might have to wait a few minutes for a spot to open. Albi seems quite safe. And if you stay in the uppermost room, remember to duck a bit as you move around. Again, people of 1580 were apparently not so tall, as reflected by the height of the beams.

Beautiful place in the city center of Albi. Close to the Cathedral, restaurants and shops. The owner prepared an excellent breakfast with fruit, and delicious selection of breath. All very fresh.
Furthermore we booked the roof top room such a nice place with a beautiful, almost 360 degrees, view. Nothing to complain and happy to come back next time. Au revoir! Jolanda and Hans

This was a wonderful, unique property in the centre of Albi.
From our room there was a superb view of the cathedral. All the furniture and decor in the room was totally in keeping with the history of the city and this particular accommodation.
Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast (bread, pastries, jams, fruit juice, yoghurts, etc.) seated around a large table along with the other guests.
We found the best parking was at the Cathedral Parking, approx. 5 minutes easy walk (with luggage) to Chambres d'hôtes La Tour Sainte-Cécile.
If staying in Albi again, we would be more than happy to repeat our stay at Chambres d'hôtes La Tour Sainte-Cécile, and would certainly be very happy to recommend it to others.
Nothing - it was all very good.
