200 year old cottage - short walk to the beach
Ce cottage avec 4 chambres et 1 salle de bain à Swansea vous offre une expérience des plus complètes. Les amoureux de la nature et du grand air seront ravis de loger à 7 minutes en voiture de Plage de Three Cliffs Bay et à 10 minutes de Plage d'Oxwich Bay. Sautez dans votre voiture et parcourez le trajet de 3 minutes jusqu'à Fauconnerie et centre de tir à l'arc Perriswood Archery and Falconry Centre ou de 9 minutes jusqu'à Pobbles Beach (et quand vous n'êtes pas sur les routes, profitez du parking mis à disposition par l'hébergement).

Really nice break, park the car and relax. Plenty of lovely walks without getting in the car. Shepherds shop and cafe on the doorstep and lovely bakery at heritage centre.

We had a lovely holiday in this cottage. However check in details were provided within 24 hours of start date not within 48-72 hours stated within VRBO guide. VRBO are not based locally (they believed 1pm was am) and language barrier made a simple communication issue very complex and stressful. After they eventually contacted the agent all was fine. We had some initial cleaning issues with the cottage which were promptly and efficiently resolved by the agent. The location is excellent - lovely walks to Three Cliffs, easy drive to Swansea and other Gower beaches. The cottage is cosy, and had everything we needed. We got used to the extremely steep stairs within a couple of days. My husband bumped his head on the low door frames a few times. I would recommend this cottage and hope to return.

We were blessed with the weather so we had a fantastic time. Great location and my dog had a fantastic time swimming in the river on way to Three Cliffs beach. My only minor drawbacks are minor lack of a toilet brush, the shower and bathroom sink take ages to clear. I would agree with other comments that it smelt musty on arrival but once you open windows it quickly disperses. Having a 3 year old and 1 year old I think a washing machine should be considered. Kitchen is fabulous and well furnished but think you could find a space for washing machine.
To finish on a positive note I would and all or party would be happy to book again

Stayed here with my wife and in-laws for our "mini-moon". The cottage is beautiful, charming and in a great location. Only had to speak to the manager once, and that was during check-in, got a quick response with my question answered.
My only constructive feedback would be to have dehumidifiers in the property. It is old and does show its age, there is a definite smell of dew in the air, and we also noticed that sitting on the sofa left our clothes feeling damp. Dehumidifers would sort that out. It ultimately didn't effect our stay though, and we would still recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Three Cliffs Bay or the surrounding area.

The cottage is beautiful and so well equipped, a real home from home. There are lots of lovely birds in the garden to sit and watch and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed the wood burners immensely, it was so cosy. There area is outstanding with beautiful walks right from the door. The local shop and bakery have everything you need and only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. Thanks for a lovely break.

The cottage is lovely and would be cosy if it wasn’t for the damp. The house smelt very bad and there is mould on the walls. The house manager was very quick to help and brought salt dehumidifiers to try and help but the issue needs more work. The house was clean and in a good location for the Gower.

Quaint cottage, lots of lovely features as you would expect of such an old property. We found the stairs very uneven, very narrow tread and interesting layout of steps at the top quite dangerous, care needs to be taken not to slip off the steps. My elderly mother found them challenging. Apart from that it was a pleasant place to stay for a short break

Walking distance to Three Cliffs Bay, which is great for paddleboarding. It's a short drive to Oxwich Bay and Rhossilli Bay. The cottage is lovely, clean, and spacious. Private Parking is available. Hosts have a quick response. Place pet-friendly and all-year-round dog-friendly beaches.

Rose Cottage is absolutely fantastic - it is considerably larger than the pictures suggest and the garden is also much bigger than expected. The kitchen is very large which is brilliant, and all of the rooms are very sizable. Although there is only 1 bathroom to share between everyone, this didn't present itself as an issue for us. The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth and the house had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Just around the corner (2 min walk) is a bakery which offers the most delicious pastries we've ever tasted, and just a 30 second walk away is a gorgeous shop with all essentials (although quite pricey). We met the neighbours during our stay who were all really friendly. The location itself is perfect - right in the heart of Gower. Just a 15 min drive to Oxwich Beach, or 20 mins to Rhossili. You can also get to Mumbles in 30 mins, Gowerton Golf Club in 15 mins. Our group have already agreed to book again for next year!

Ideal for both of us and two dogs, (the garden area was a challenge for the older dog), and as a base to introduce my partner to The Gower and my Swansea family. Weather was gorgeous

Great forest and river walk to the beach. Beautiful big beach with rocks to climb, adults, kids and dog had a great time.
