My room was on the street side. I heard everything, golf carts, motorcycles, people talking. My room didn't have a balcony, but I could hear housekeeping sweeping the room and the balcony next to mine in the morning.

The property was clean but had a few issues.. literally nothing else to do there, no casino, no entertainment, no gym.. and gym part really shocked me. There were no dressers in room so we had no where to put our clothes, no iron either. It rained terribly there and our balcony filled with water. The air conditioner leaked water all over the place although they fixed it immediately. Then there was no water for most of the day. Once it came back on, it was brown and stayed brown for hours. It’s a new property and definitely needs some work.

I loved the staff, the location, the quietness, the cleanliness. I can’t wait to come back again and be a guest there. I hope for good business for the days, weeks, months and years to come. Anybody who hesitating with booking, go head and click the button because you want regret it.

First of all, I’ve read a lot of reviews on here about the hotel before we booked it. I’ve also been to Belize almost 10 times and absolutely LOVE it for so many different reasons, it would take too long to review here. Watermark has been recently renovated. Here’s why my review will be different from others: I know what kind of travelers my husband and I are. If you are looking for a 5-star, Starbucks in the lobby with marble floors kind of stay, don’t stay in Ambergris Caye - at all. This island has the incredible, mom-and-pop kind of feel that so many people long for these days. Don’t come to Belize with American expectations. Accept that there will likely be power outages and get outside and enjoy the beautiful Belizean breezes. Learn to live with the small things Americans consider “inconveniences.” The hotel management is supreme. They’re so sweet and attentive to all their customers’ needs. Never ran out of hot water. We have stayed at a variety of places on the mainland and island and this was a beautiful, charming little place with plenty of charisma and lovely and warm people. We spent our 5 year anniversary here and they decorated our room upon our arrival. Please be kind when you leave reviews here, Belizeans are incredible people who are so loving and gracious, they have an incredible gem of a country and they know it and are proud of it - as they should be! Would (and will) absolutely come back.

First time Belize and The Watermark left its mark and made our stay very enjoyable. Great staff and service very helpful about navigating around.

Despite being charged $35.00 and change for a vegetable omelette and a glass of juice all was well. Many thanks to Matthew and a very helpful young lady whose name I recall .

I liked the super friendly staff that was always willing to help no matter what time of day it was. I liked the fact that the rooms looked newly remodeled and updated. I didn't like the fact that there was only one chair in the occupied by two people. There was no where to sit other than the bed. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay at the Watermarkhotel

Property was very new but a little over-priced

The Watermark Hotel was amazing and my wife absolutely loved the rooms! We were here for our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable with the added touch of wishing my wife a Happy Birthday by decorating our room!! Definitely recommend and will be back very soon!!

I enjoyed my stay here so much! I came to celebrate my daughter’s bday and they even decorated our room for her special day. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, the staff, the interior of the hotel as well. The location was very convenient to most places (we rented a golf cart) yet not too close to traffic. It’s was the perfect place for us to stay. I would recommend.

The Watermark was clean throughout, offered basic accommodations, and had a restaurant and spa. There were no perks such as robes and slippers in the rooms. Hotel only had one working elevator.

The staffbwas excellent. Front Desk Eldira was always pleasant and helpful booking excursions or making reservations. Stuart and Vanessa were awesome hosts at the rooftop bar and restaurant. We really enjoyed their company and demeanor. The cleaning staff were excellent and always offered extra water, towels, coffee, etc... The building is still under some construction but some of the details were missing. Also i understand their plan is to build a beachfront area with an in-ground pool, that will make a huge difference, a dock would be a welcome addition as well. Overall we had a good time at the Watermark and im sure once construcrion is complete it will be a top contender. Looking fwd to it.

Loved my stay

The staff are very friendly and extremely helpfull. They truly went over and above the call of duty to make sure our stay was the best experience possible. The hotel is only a couple of years old and is in fantastic shape. I highly recommend a stay at The Watermark!

I enjoyed every moment of my stay the rooms are beautiful ,spacious clean bed and pillows are more than comfortable I just wanted to stay in bed and forget about my vacation schedule staff was super friendly and helpful. This is the place to stay whenever your in san Pedro to get the best of everything while your on vacation doesn’t worry about the price you deserve to stay in luxury while on vacation
