The location. It was across the road to family from America who had come to stay in Rotherham to revisit old haunts.

It wasn’t clean. The toilet was dirty. The cooker hood was deep in dust. No bins in the property. Nowhere to eat. Two small sofas but no other seating. No lightbulb in the bedroom light. Just a dangling socket. Missing lampshades. Blinds inadequate in the bedrooms. Streetlights shining through all night. Beds seriously hard and lumpy. No loo brush. Electrical sockets not properly set into the wall in the bathroom.

There was plenty of space, and the rooms were generally tidy. The location was fine for getting to Meadowhall, but parking was a challenge. Lots of windows, good light, and air circulation with windows open. Plenty of spare linen available and easy to get at. The TV worked well, and the living room was fairly comfortable.

Parking is tricky. It seems like you can park across from it, but the next morning, I noticed a car parked that got ticketed. There are a few spaces around the corner, but a bit of pot luck and relatively short term. There was no communication from the hosts about parking beforehand, so I had to phone to get advice. Thankfully, we stayed Sat evening until Sunday morning and didn't have to pay. I really don't know where we would have parked if we didn't get one of the 5 or 6 spaces available. The beds were a bit cheap, in my opinion, not a lot of support and not enough pillows. The light in the bedroom didn't work but the lamp did. Cleaning products were left out in the bathroom. The oven needed cleaning as I tried heating the oven to warm up croissants and there was alot of smoke coming out from the fat on the bottom tray. I quickly shut that down and didn't touch the oven again. The extraction hood had a thick layer of dust on it and there were the remains of a bottle of 7 up in the fridge upon arrival (?). We were very bemused by the title of this place. I didn't expect much luxury for the price or the location, but c'mon, at least leave a full bottle if that's your welcome pack!

Only a tiny fault there were no mirrors in the bathroom or bedroom.

Nice little apartment , has everything you need. Great location for getting train to Sheffield.
