Everything about the stay was amazing. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were emailed, complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with basic necessities and lots of unexpected pool and beach toys. The private beach was amazing. Would definitely go back to this location.

Positives - The home has a great location close to the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped and we didn't lack for anything to prepare meals. The pool was nice along with the yard and they had plenty of beach towels.
Challenges - The home is run down and could use some major updating and cleaning. The bathroom mats were stained, dirty, and should be replaced. The gutters were clogged with leaves and when it rained the water just poured off of the roof on to patio/eating area. We couldn't use one of the couches that folded into a bed as the mattress was so dirty (I notified the caretaker and she did order a new mattress, but it came too late for us to use the couch). The beach chairs were very worn and one was ripped completely. We did purchase a new chair and left it for the next group. The entire home just seemed "tired" and not serviced. I notified the caretaker several times and she did respond quickly and tried to remedy the issues. Some cement tiles fell off the pool wall and when I showed them to the pool man, he mentioned that the owner knew of the issue and was trying to get the tiles to stay on but without luck. Due to Covid, the caretaker did not meet us at the property, so there was a lot of texting back and forth to figure out the lights, wifi, etc. It would have been very helpful to have written instructions about how everything worked when we arrived.

All was great. Kepola was very kind and helpful.
The house was beautiful. The location of the house was perfect. Loved the short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. The pool and lanai were wonderful. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner there with all our family. The house was very well stocked. Had all we needed. Overall a terrific experience.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the pool and hot tub when not at the gorgeous beach. The beach is steps away and you have access to a secluded portion of Kailua beach. The home was spacious enough for our group of 9 and well stocked.

We spent a wonderful week in this House. The garden with the pool, the whirlpool and the lounge was as nice as on the Picture, just top! The inside of the house, especially the kitchen is furnished and equiped very good. We were travelling our Family (2 adtults 3 kids) with two friends, and we had plenty of space. We used the separated room on the first floor as a fourth sleeping room but lived all together down in the main part of the house (most of the time outside).Mahalo!

Kepola was an excellent host!!! She was there anytime we had a problem or question. We would definitely stay here again. Private walkway to beach and walking distance to many restaurants in town. One of the best beaches I’ve been too.

The only reason I did not give this property a 5 star rating is the fact that the previous people did not leave on time not giving the cleaners time to thoroughly clean the house. Had the cleaners had time to do their job, I would not be able to say one bad thing. Renting this house, in this location, with a pool, right down from the beach was a perfect way to vacation! If the kids weren't in the beach they were in the pool. It was much better than staying in a hotel/resort.

Two grandparents, three adult kids and two grandchildren had a wonderful week. The house suited us perfectly and the beach was a short stroll away. We had a great time going back and forth from the beach to the pool. We love that stretch of beach and the uncrowded nature. The home was well equipped with everything we needed - beach toys for the little ones included. A good time was had by all.

When we arrived our first feeling was one of dismay. There was a layer of leaves on the bottom of the pool and the hot tub had sand on the floor and seats. One of the chaise lounges was broken as were three upright wooden chairs. The house inside is shabby and many items need to be replaced. Instructions re the TV and music system etc. were lacking. We found the music connections in a closet in the master bedroom. This could be a lovely rental home but it needs some money spent on it and considering what we spent per night , the owner could afford to do this.

We chose this rental house for the family to stay in as we celebrated my husband's mother's 70th birthday. His mom and dad stayed in the upstairs unit...was perfect for their own privacy. We had cool weather the first half of the trip so the hot tub and the pool were perfect distractions. Hot tub was a bit dated, but the house was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Kepola and Kawika were excellent in responding to us throughout our stay.

Really a great place! We (7 adults and 4 children) stayed for 16 days and we all loved the place! Its really close to the beach and the garage was filled with everything you need for a day on the beach including kayaks and Surfboards!Kalapawai market is only about a 10 min walk on the beach which was great for our morning coffee. Smooth check-in and check-out and when we had some questions, Kepola always gave us prompt answers. Recommend this place!
