Évadez-vous dans un contemporain lumineux au sommet d'une colline avec 1 lit / 2 salles de bain avec une vue imprenable - la retraite parfaite! Promenez-vous au quai saisonnier sur ce magnifique lac, puis revenez vous détendre sur la terrasse privée ou dans le coin média avec son foyer. Vous pourrez apercevoir des pygargues à tête blanche ou des étoiles filantes, entendre des huards et des chouettes rayées, ou assister à un grand lancement de ballon estival depuis notre terrain. À proximité : faites du vélo sur la spectaculaire chaussée du lac, essayez Wally's Bagels ou Blue Paddle Bistro, sirotez des vins au Snow Farm Vineyard. Une heure de Montréal ou Stowe animée; demi-heure à la charmante Burlington. Une ancienne brochure touristique de l'État qualifie la vue de cette colline de "pays invitant". REMARQUE : la femme de ménage calme à l'arrière du premier étage a une entrée et une suite séparées ; les invités apprécient le deuxième étage spacieux. Starry ridge was spectacular! Green grass meadow, beautiful lake and islands with the mountains after that. It doesn’t get any better than that. The house was perfect! Everything brand new, clean and modern. Our host was efficient

We had an incredible time on Hero Island. The location was great and easy to make trips into the Adirondacks, Stowe and Montreal while we were there. The owner was fantastic and kept an open line of communication. The property was just like the pictures! Would I stay there again......YES!

The home is clean and modern with an open plan, amazing artwork and lots of windows with amazing views to the bay and Green Mountains. We biked the causeway and visited Montreal and Burlington. I highly recommend this rental.

Had the most amazing get away at Peter’s property. The location and view couldn’t have been any better. The amenities were more than we could have ever wished for and we hope to make plans again in the future. The cleanliness and attention to detail made the property homey and comfortable. The wildlife was amazing during the day and at night as well. Peter was a great host . If you’re thinking about staying here, just do it!!

The home is beautiful, welcoming, clean and perfectly stocked for guests. This must see property, lake and expansive view of the mountains is breathtaking and provides an immediate sense of peace. We so appreciated being a part of nature seeing deer, rabbits and a fox on the property. This is a perfect location to retreat to while still being close enough to the Burlington area. Peter is a very responsive host - excellent communication. Peter's information before coming was accurate and easy to understand. The housekeeper is exceptionally nice, very quiet and there to help if needed. We will be returning to this wonderful retreat!

This property is beyond fabulous!! The setting is stunning. The house is modern, clean, well situated, and beautifully furnished. There is nothing missing in terms of convenience and comfort. Granting that there's little to do on Grand Island in the winter apart from skiing at nearby Stowe, Starry Ridge was a fantastic and peaceful post Christmas retreat for my partner and me. A great launching spot for daytime excursions to Burlington and Stowe (or even Montreal, with a drive), but more importantly for us a great place to curl up with a book, a puzzle or a movie on a winter day or night.
The host was exceptionally responsive to the couple questions we had. Check-in was effortless (door code) and no onerous check-out requirements either.
We didn't cook a lot but we did make one meal and found all of the pantry staples and cookware we needed easily.

Home is true to photos on listing. I was seeking peace and quiet and I found it in South Hero. I love the island community. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and again.

It was exactly the getaway we were looking for. The views are breathtaking from the main room/kitchen and from the deck. Everything was new and of high quality, including a very comfortable king mattress. We saw the on-site caretaker's vehicle (that person lives on ground floor, the rental is up a flight) a couple times, but never heard a peep. Loved the fact that it's only a 30 minute drive into Burlington, given the remote location of the rental. The stargazing from the deck is wonderful, too, if you're lucky enough to get clear nights.
