Location was perfect! We could see sea turtles right from the balcony! Awesome snorkel shop,
wonderful restaurant, and fresh fruit stand right near by!
Close to Poipu, Koloa town, shops, Hanapepe and many of the Na’ Pali coast boat launch sites.
Apartment was spacious, bed was comfortable, and parking was easy. We loved having the beach chairs and towels available. No pools on site, but who needs that when there is an amazing snorkel beach 100 yards away!?
Property was a bit dated, but was perfect for what we needed.

Very good location in Poipu. This was our second time staying in the Poipu area, and while Kuhio Shores isn't on or near a good beach, it is conveniently located. A car is required to get around if you want to see the area, nearby beaches, or around the island. The unit was very clean, well-equipped, and the amenities were good.
Unit #201 balcony is right by & overlooks the road. It can be noisy, as its a pretty busy street & the only access for many units further south - including for emergency vehicles. That should be disclosed in the description of the property, as most of the units in the building are ocean-facing so it's disappointing at first. We spent most of our time travelling around the island, but had expected to enjoy the sound of surf without traffic accompaniment. The bedroom has air conditioning, which helps block out the noise at night.
FYI, be careful where you park in the lot as birds will soil your car under the trees!
The Beach House Restaurant next to the property has great sunset views, but it's over-priced and has a limited menu. Drinks yes, dinner no.

Nothing, we didn't stay. The area was good and we were happy that we could book alternative accommodation at late notice.
Extremely disappointed. Noisy position close to the road, no air-conditioning, uncomfortable bed, dated furniture. Overpriced. So bad that we didn't stay. We complained and heard nothing back from the hosts. Very poor.

View and location
Kitchen, eating area, all furniture, lighting. The bed is was comfortable- only decent piece of furniture. We contacted person by phone with complaints about lighting and they said they would come by- they never did and they never called back to check on us.
Although location was great, condo was located at the end of building next to a main street- trucks, motorcycles, etc annoying at night and early morning.

The location was great, you could hear the waves all night long! We had a beautiful view from our balcony. I loved that they provided a generous gift basket of amenities, fully stocked kitchen and cooler, beach chairs and umbrella came with the room!
The couch could be more comfortable and the light in the bedroom improved.

The sound of the ocean waves were incredible. Very close to the bay. The view was also better than expected. The interior offered plenty of room. We didn't miss anything inside. Also very quiet except for the occasional loud automobile passing by. Close to a lot of the south shore options.
This was a second floor unit. I definitely wouldn't recommend a first floor unit due to people walking by the first floor regularly. Much more privacy on second and above units!
Some flickering light bulbs in the bathroom and the shower could use some attention. Easily fixable and not a deal breaker. Some signage could also use an update for clarity.
