Staff ever so friendly, would recommend the GW without hesitation

Beautiful old property and quite a quirky feel. Staff were hugely accommodating.

Needs a little more attention to detail in places but for the money it was very good value.

Room was cold, no heating overnight, single glazing, poor furnishings, not very inviting

The room and the shower room wear freezing as their was no heating at all.asked for extra blankets , and we were told they did not have any to give us, asked to be moved, but they could not accommodate us, asked for a refund so we could move to another hotel, but they refused, would NOT recommend this hotel. Very expensive for poor service and poor quality room.

The night receptionist was asleep. I needed to collect my food from deliveroo. It was 2.55am No one on reception. Rang hotel number x3 no answer. Pressed fire alarm to get receptions attention. He was sleeping and I saw him come out of the room next to mine, half dressed with a women. He asked if I had pressed the alarm. I said yes......! He asked me why and I told him that deliveroo had left my food outside the hotel door but I could not open the door as it was locked. He said "You should be sleeping at this time!!!!!!" Reception should be manned 24 hrs all especially when you have council tenants living there. Does the management allow their staff to sleep and still ger paid? Where's the customer service? I will be taking this matter further as I have voice recording of the whole conversation.

The room was a good size, and as warm as you wanted it. The bed was fine. There was car-parking.

Housekeeping did not happen. No hand-towel, no bath-mat, no tea - until I asked - no window, no coat-hangers, no working restaurant - so no breakfast or evening meal. One late afternoon 'housekeeping' seem to have been present (not in the room) - as there was a hoover left in the corridor outside the rooms - flex left as the perfect trip-hazard, plus plugged in - and a dirty towel left on a landing chair for hours. The extractor fan did not work (in toilet/shower area). It seemed that the place was having major works done that had not yet reached the rooms - and it was not yet ready to receive guests. I'm sure one day it will be fine.

Had to ask for room to be serviced. No restaurant facilities particularly hot breakfast. Shower in room above leaking. Building work and general decay. Bed and pillows were awful

Old grade 2 listed building, clean spacious, nice!

Finding the location was hard but staff on hand to direct me over the phone, signage in town center would help find location.

We loved how intimate the hotel is with beautiful moder decor but still with a historic edge. The hotel is very clean and comfortable.

The heating didn't appear to be on throughout the hotel and the electric radiator in our room didn't work so it was a very cold night. Also the hotel advertises a bar and restaurant but the restaurant is currently not offering food which is a little misleading.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating.

The bathroom was damp all the time, even with the door left open and the window in the bedroom open. As a result it smelt mouldy and the towels were damp. Rooms had little/no soundproofing so very aware of the guests in the rooms next to you.

Great location short walk to tram stop for a concert in Sheffield. Lovely staff and lovely building and free parking. Lovely and quiet at night and lots of local bars. Free drink at the bar which was really nice of them.

Very close to centre and short walk to Civic Theatre ~ lovely helpful staff ~ very quiet and felt like the only people staying there. Good choice of tv with Netflix & other platforms available to watch

Room had to be aired off due to wet room overflowing and the carpet being wet, so we had to put a towel on the floor so we didn’t keep standing on the wet patch. This meant the room was very cold and not cosy. Quite pricey for the standard of the room, wallpaper peeling, wet carpet ~ not quite the ‘boutique’ standard we were expecting.

The quality of the rooms was outstanding and the staff was spot on and very friendly nothing was a problem.

No breakfast provided. Evening meal excellent. Staff very friendly.

For the price we paid, there could have been a hairdryer. Plus as the bed was against the wall one of us had to chamber over the bed together in.
