This property is in a convenient location because it’s a short ride across the street to the beach and the corner store has most things and there’s usually a food truck there. The rooms were large and the beds were big and there’s plenty of them. The couch was big too. However, everything is really dated. The bathrooms are tiny and the showers are difficult to operate because the knobs and hardware desperately need to be updated. It’s difficult to adjust the water temperature. We also have small children and they didn’t have a bath stopper to fill the tub so we had to use a washcloth to try to keep the water from draining for a bath. There are swarms of mosquitos - not even an exaggeration and we had to literally bring a small towel and swat around like crazy people and run and rush just to get into the car and still about a half dozen mosquitos would get into the car with us and we would have to kill all of them before we could pull out of the driveway. It’s the worst mosquito encounter I’ve ever had anywhere in Galveston or anywhere ever. When we would pull into the driveway, before we got out of the car you could see them all flying at the windows. We nicknamed this house the mosquito house. The light switches in the living room are a little frustrating because you can’t have the fan on without also having the lights on. And that was annoying at night. There’s also not a water dispenser so we bought bottled. It was generally “fine” but we would not stay here again.

Guest bath sink doesn’t drain well, master bath shower faucet hot and cold needs to be reversed, and kitchen faucet need to be replaced, and 3rd bedroom needs clarification on the location in the home. Very humid in bedroom and lots of bugs. Great home otherwise. Thank you so much.

The house was clean, hot water was hot and the A/C was cold! The house needs a few things fixed up, but nothing that you can’t work around, (tub faucet, exterior lighting, railings loose, blinds) and if you have toddlers, there is no where for them to eat, no table and bar stools don’t work! (Ages from 74 - 1) The house listed that they had beach chairs which we didn’t find, but we made do! Hopefully they will work on the upkeep of the house!

My husband, daughters, and I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time! The living area and kitchen are spacious and well equipped for relaxing after a day at the beach. Had lots of fresh towels and the washer and dryer were handy. Beautiful outdoor area to sit and enjoy the mornings and evenings. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall the property was fine. The owners were great to work with and very responsive. The beds were good to sleep in, but one room was on the ground level and they are twin bunk beds. The fenced yard was nice too. The place has a nice family-TV area to entertain in and includes TV and other streaming hookups. The location was close to the beach and quiet. A couple of things to consider: The property was older than what you see online. It needed a deep clean. There was a cost to use the community pool. The deck needs some work (nails were sticking up on the floor boards and you need shoes to walk around.). The kitchen sink needs repair. Overall a fair price for the amenities and location. We enjoyed our time.

We love everything about Jamaica Beach. This area is hands down our favorite area to visit. Russell the management contact was phenomenal. He was super responsive and made the entire process streee-free. About the house, it is a super cute house in a great location. The pictures online are a bit deceiving. The interior is a little rundown but was overall clean. Our biggest issues was the couch. It had an awful smell and we sprayed it with Febreeze daily but it did not help. I know the home allows pets and you can expect pet smells but the couch could be replaced. Also, there is a picture on the listing of beach chairs and these do not come with the house, you can rent them though! There is also a picture of a table on the upstairs deck which was not there when we stayed. We had the best week and made awesome memories.

When we arrived, the house was filthy. All beds were unmade and towels were lying on the floor. The dishes were all over the counter and the trash was full. We cleaned up the house, swept, did a load of towels in the wash, piled all dirty blankets by the door, and waited (almost 2 hours) for the cleaners who came after we had notified the management that the house was not cleaned. Water faucets on the showers do not work properly, so the water is either super hot or ice cold. On the plus side, it’s really close to the beach. No amount of refund was offered for time lost nor the fact that we cleaned the place ourselves. Would definitely choose a property that is managed by someone else.

We stayed here for one night and it was perfect walking distance to the beach. The only complaint I have is we had trouble finding the 3rd bedroom. We finally found it and it was outside and we were not expecting that. Just wish it would explain that but other than that it was an amazing time!!

The cabin was perfect for us, we came in and stayed one night for cheer comp the next morning in Galveston.

I really enjoyed my stay. The spot was quiet and the breeze was great. Its the perfect weekend getaway spot.

Great location, quiet neighborhood, big privacy fenced yard. House was cozy, clean, comfy beds, and kitchen had all the amenities we could ask for. Loved it!

Beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

This was our first time renting a home and we are very please. We needed space and the house was perfect for our adult children and grandchildren. Perfect location, short walk to the beach, store nearby and only 8 min to the seawall. We definitely need to rent the house in the summer time. Wish check in wasn’t so late, 4 pm is not even a full day, but we made the best of it. We did have an issue with the bathroom, toilet leak so 8 adults and 2 kids had to use one bathroom, but other than that we loved the house, beautiful, clean and plenty of space in every room including kitchen and living room.

Perfect spacious clean comfortable beach cottage with fully fenced yard & nice balcony. Close to beach, great coffee shop & pizza place. Well furnished & supplied. Met our needs perfectly. Would stay again

It was I little bit of a ride from the rally but perfect location to get away from the crowd at nights end.

We stayed for one night, before our cruise left out of Galveston. The description should’ve been more specific, that one of the bedrooms was not actually in the house, and outside, which couldn’t be accessed through the house. I wasn’t leaving my children in that. Also, no bathroom, so they’d have to come in the house (from outside and down the stairs) in the middle of the night, to use it. The room smelled really bad, like mold. No one would sleep in there, so they all piled on the couch. Also, there was some type of roaches or bugs all over the house. They need bug exterminator to go through the house. I sent the manager videos and pics of all the bugs/roaches everywhere. It was disgusting and no one wanted to sleep in the place.I tried messaging the manager, and having them call me, before leaving this bad review, but I never heard from them. A lot of issues for the money, wouldn’t stay again. The location was nice, but it’s a pretty long walk to the beach (provably 20 minutes) so you’ll want to drive. The yard and patio furniture was nice. Check in and check out was easy. But we couldn’t get over the previous two issues. Communication wasn’t good. A phone call would’ve been nice, as requested.

Dirtiest house we've ever stayed, if you want to spend your vacations cleaning and dealing with roaches, this is it, my grandbaby's feet turned black after 5 minutes walking and crawling around the house, hair in master bedroom bedding, little roaches pretty much everywhere, sent pictures to the owner/manager, they just said sorry, they didn't do anything to do our stay a little comfortable, never again, on top of that, check in instructions where sent 30 minutes after check in time. I wish I can upload pictures and videos.

It was just what we needed for a weekend away. Highly recommend!
