The location of this property is amazing. The views and back porch are outstanding. We spent a lot of time on the porch- it faces west so there are amazing sunsets. It was spacious, easily accommodated party of 10. Movie room and arcade games were a hit. We would stay here again, with a few changes. The property is clearly run by a management company, not an individual. Had to call at time of check in as we were not sent an entrance code. Cleanliness: Overall, it did not feel dirty. We had some sheets and towels that were stained and needed to be changed. Some of the dishes had to be washed before use. The kitchen was not stocked with kitchen towels, making it difficult to process all the dishes from feeding 10 people. We did have to request additional towels, as there were only 10 available upon arrival, not nearly enough to accommodate out party for 4 nights. The company did need to come to the property to supply extras that were in a locked cabinet on the property. When we arrived, there were multiple bags of trash on the porch that needed to be removed. They had also been plundered by wildlife, particularly worrisome with the possibility of bears in the area. They were promptly removed on request. I will say this: While this was the most I had to communicate with a host, they accommodated most requests very promptly. The one exception was with a final request for a late checkout, which was not at all answered despite multiple attempts.

The house itself is beautiful and had everything a group of 12 needed. Property wise it is on the side of a mountain, so if you’re afraid of heights you may want to rethink the location. The drive up felt as if you were scaling the mountain itself at times. Parking is tight for 3 cars. We had a truck, suv and crossover and not much room to get in or out. The heating in the house could use a little more explaining as we were either too cold or sweating at times. The overall the booking process was fine and location was very pretty, but when it says located near ski resort, you’re pretty much AT the resort…not far from it. Temperature is about 20 degrees different from the bottom of the mountain to where the home actually is. Our group would book this home agains, just use different cars to get to it and pack for the weather differences a little better.

Beautiful home with amazing views

This is a great location and great potential mountain home. Unfortunately the upkeep has been a bit on the cheap. The hot tub was not working our entire stay - granted some of our stay had inclement weather. Storm doors were broken (actually led to an accidental leg injury requiring a visit to ortho the following week) Furniture was rather cheap although it looks nice in photos. The dining table was half put together and more that one dining chair was already falling apart. There’s a gas fireplace in the living room which is nice but there was no information (and management was unable to help) on if it is vented or ventless. We opened the damper to be safe but I could see how someone with no knowledge could run the fireplace with the damper closed. There were not fire or carbon monoxide detectors that I could find. This all struck me as a real safety hazard for guests coming to stay with no background on this type of thing. The master bed was comfortable. The kitchen was not lacking. The location is excellent with the view and accessibility to ski. The management person was quickly responsive to emails but nothing (most importantly the deck hot tub) was addressed during our stay. We still enjoyed our stay. There’s tons of space if you have a large group and the view is great. We booked at a time when the price was reasonable so it’s okay… I would have been much more dissatisfied had we paid more of a premium price. The property needs some work.
