The property was nearly brand new, well stocked, beautiful furnishings and decor and a very responsive and helpful property manager/owner. This is a very spacious tiny home and we loved it for our first experience! Also...There is an EV charger across the street (walkable) if you are an EV user and that was really nice for us and tons of things to eat and do nearby.

There really is nothing to not like! The AC unit upstairs wasn't working properly but we made do!

This is a newly renovated motel that added cute “tiny homes” to their property. I am not sure what the motel rooms look like inside, but the outside was cleaned and freshly painted with great care. We stayed in one of the “tiny homes”, which was brand new (and had a brand new smell). It was EXTREMELY well appointed with a complete kitchen, beautiful bathroom with a nice, large shower and very comfortable king sized beds (3). It is little, so you have to keep in mind that there’s not a lot of room, and walking sideways around things is going to happen. The upstairs loft has a low ceiling - but seemed very cozy. All the amenities (soaps, shampoos, conditioner, towels, etc.) and all kitchen necessities were perfect. We did have an issue with the internet and TV connection - but I am going to say that was probably due to the newness of the property and the ongoing landscape construction. I am sure they will get this issue corrected soon. The management staff was always available - that was very comforting.

With all that said I also want to mention a few things that I think that would make this updated property really special and take it to the next level: 1. Prepare a notebook/binder for each room with things like: wireless connection and password information, best way to access TV, info on local restaurants and important places of interest, etc. 2. Have the old motel parking lot re-paved. 3. Landscaping needs to be a priority. Place large planters with seasonal or perennial plants along the front of the motel. This may be in the future plan - I hope - because it would really transform the front of the old motel giving it a more high-end feel because it still has an aged/dated look. 4. Surround the “tiny homes” with perennials (i.e. hydrangeas). The Retreat on the Lake is barely on a lake so landscaping and plants need to be a focus. 5. Name each of the “Tiny Homes” instead of giving them generic alphabetical letters (A-F). - Name the cottages something quaint, like: Mountain Laurel Cottage/Hydrangea Cottage/Wild Azalea Cottage, etc…

Room is clean. Nice woodwork and cabin theme. Management helpful via text messaging.

No host physically present, will buzz you into your room by text message. Keyless entry, climate control and TV hard to operate. Room is tight. No breakfast as expected. Neighbors TV could be a problem. Not too soundproof. $15O a bit steep.

We were in unit 10 - please have maintenance check the lock. Couldn’t get it to completely dead bolt lock.
