Avec ses activités proposées sur place (kayak, entre autres), cette cabane qui accepte les animaux de compagnie a décidément tout pour vous plaire. Lac Michigan n'est qu'à quelques minutes à pied et Plage d'East Beach à 11 minutes, vous pouvez donc laisser votre voiture dans le parking dont dispose l'hébergement.
Cette cabane satisfera toutes vos envies de farniente avec une terrasse privée et du mobilier d'extérieur. Une fois rentré de vos explorations, profitez des joies de l'intérieur : Wi-Fi gratuit, télévision et chaîne hi-fi.

We booked this property for two nights on our way from MN to South Bend, IN to visit Notre Dame. The location was excellent! We were pleased that the beach was just down the access steps from the house. It was a great way to recover from an 8 hour drive and a great way to spend a Sunday. The property is on the edge of Indiana Dunes State Park and Sunday morning we took advantage of the location to go into the park and do the 3 Dune challenge. The house was well appointed--we were able to cook our meals and not have to eat out, which we prefer. There were beach loungers and paddle boards fully equipped with ankle straps and life jackets available for us to use. For families with younger kids there were also lots of beach toys. We brought our own beach towels, but there were beach towels available to use. Our only issue was that the floor felt dirty--the bathroom rugs were dingy. There is understandably a lot of sand and there was a vacuum available to use that we used a couple times during our stay. Otherwise we were comfortable, had a great visit, and enjoyed our time at the beach.

Exactly what we needed for a little escape! The views, the cabin, the beach, everything was spectacular. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably, and the neighbors are friendly. Being pet friendly was a huge bonus as our family dog got to go on her first vacation too, and she was loving the waves! Highly recommend!

20 out of 10!!!! We had an amazing stay that exceeded our highest expectations!!! The house is so beautiful, comfortable, clean, bright and airy with tons of natural light. Everything was so open and modern and the bathrooms are updated with some very cool high tech mirrors! The hosts were even considerate enough to put nightlights in every room.
The view of the water from the giant windows took our breath away!!!! It was a gorgeous backdrop and it was amazing waking up and drinking our coffee on the patio watching it. We also enjoyed having breakfast on the patio every morning!
The private beach access really made our trip!!! It was so peaceful and convenient to have our own space away from the crowds only a few steps away from the gorgeous house. We were able to spread out and relax without worrying about finding a spot or being surrounded by other people. It was also very convenient to have beach chairs provided for us by the host!
Check in was so easy. This was our first trip to the Dunes and Will gave us great driving directions, excellent, easy to follow check in instructions, and was very responsive.
We would a million percent recommend staying at this property!!! We’re already thinking about when we’ll return and I can’t wait!

You wake up to the beach facing you and the sunsets are amazing! The nights are quiet and can hear the waves crashing at the beach. It was a very relaxing experience.
Will is a great host and maintained a great communication. Property was very neat and very well maintained. We would like to go back sometime.

We just returned from a trip to the dunes, and this place was absolutely perfect for our family of four with a senior dog! I know other reviews have said the pictures don’t do it justice, and that is definitely true! The place was clean, gorgeously located with the beach in view along with the Chicago skyline. Our favorite spot was the deck to watch the sunset. Our kids had a blast playing on the beach and in the surf. You can see how busy the public beach down the way is, but the stretch of beach in front of this house stays quiet with plenty of room to stretch out. We will definitely be back!

We immediately fell in love with the property when we walking in and saw the panoramic view from the floor to ceiling windows! The weather wasn’t great for our trip, but thankfully the house was the perfect cozy escape from the rain. Our two dogs loved being close to the beach and the water. Great communication from the owner as well. Would definitely stay again (and hope for better weather) :)

We LOVED our stay here and plan to be back! Perfect cozy house by the beach. The deck is so nice and gives you so much extra space. Owners were very responsive and helpful during our stay. Steps down to the beach are fairly steep. I brought my arthritic 10 year old dog and she did good, but keep in mind for older dogs or anyone with stair issues. Parking is right next to the house which is so convenient. I honestly can’t think of any other amenities that would have made the trip better!

My husband and I spent our 25 wedding anniversary here. We took our 2 dogs with us. The house was spectacular and so was the beach. The sunsets were just beautiful. We will be back

Needed a quick getaway with the family and this did not disappoint, the views are stunning and the proximity to the beach can’t be beat! Was honestly a little nervous to book based on the photos (seemed a little dated) but they don’t do the property justice. It is much better in person. Everything is neat and clean and I would definitely recommend!

As soon as I walked in the door, I saw the wall of windows that look out to Lake Michigan. It was amazing.
The house is lovely - clean and nicely decorated. The hosts are friendly and were readily accessible to answer questions.
I highly recommend this property and will definitely go back another time.

This was the perfect spot for our family to spend spring break. The proximity to the beach was perfect, and the view from the deck was breathtaking. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. My kids are already asking when we can go back - and we certainly will!

We (and our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The view from all parts of the house is stunning! The beach is just steps away from the house. The area is very peaceful and not too remote. The kitchen has all the essentials and everything in the house is thoughtfully designed. The house was very clean and the owners were easy to contact. Will (the owner) was kind enough to let us do late checkout to enjoy the beauty of the nature. This house is a perfect get-away for all seasons. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in late February. It's a cozy space that worked perfectly for us. Nice and open with great views from both the family room and the deck. We could see both sunrise and sunset. Everything was as listed, well appointed kitchen, cozy bedding and great seating for lake viewing. Just down the stairs to the beach. We will be back again!

The house and location and beach are all lovely. It is tucked safely on the dunes with a perfect view. The stairs aren't difficult to climb directly down the sand and waves. The weather this time of year can be tricky but we got a few lucky sunny days. Even on the not great days, it's easy to stay cozy inside while the view. The park nearby was perfect for hike and day trip exploration. Going into town for breakfast/dinner/drinks was accessible and memorable. Would absolutely go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at 53 Steps to the Beach Cabin. The inside is immaculate and has recently been updated. Smart home technology is evident throughout: bathroom mirrors, lighting, charging ports everywhere, even the microwave was smart? The kitchen cabinets are fully stocked, bed in East room was comfortable, pull out couch makes a nice bed for lounging and watching the lake. The large deck wraps completely around the house and is furnished with chairs, tables, and a grill. The 53 steps to the beach are fun!! Will and Liz are gracious hosts, stayed in touch to make sure we had everything we needed, allowed us to check in a little early so we could really enjoy the entire day. We can't wait to go back!

Everything was as advertised!!! Short walk to the beach, pet friendly, and clean! We had a blast, great places to eat and sight see! Close enough to Chicago to wear we drove over the Navy Pier, had Chicago style pizza and came back all in a few hours!! I highly recommend this place!

Cabin 53 is a relaxing cottage overlooking Lake Michigan. I highly recommend if you're visiting the Indiana Dunes.
